Dd and gks are coming tomorrow for a few days. I’m looking forward to it but I’m usually full of enthusiasm for tidying and shopping to get all their favourite things in. My get up and go has however gone……it’s taking an effort to Hoover the floor…..and I haven’t or a clue what food to get in…..not like me at all.
I was mithered yesterday after trying to get in touch with the union and didn’t quite know what to do with myself……i had a big bag of old correspondence that needed getting rid of. So i passed a couple of hours outside burning them…..it was very therapeutic. I could happily make fires and watch the flames all day long. What I hadn’t accounted for was the high wind that appeared form nowhere blowing burning papers all over the garden 😳😳 good job I had the hosepipe to hand or it could have turned out quite nasty 😳😳
it’s grey and drizzly here today with not much change in the forecast…..just bleughhhh

Had a preliminary phone call about the ESA claim - got an actual phone interview at the end of the month. I’ve still not been food shopping for my visitors….think I’ll go this evening.January spends - £587.580

I went to Mr T at 9 last night my August spends are now £223…..I did buy a new bra though as I’m getting desperate and can’t face M&S in the big shopping centre. I threw my spare pillows when we decorated so bought a couple of pillows and a new dress for each of the girls happened to fall into my basket too……
I’ve spent the morning making up the beds. I wish I had enough room for permanent beds instead of having to put camp beds up….but when we bought the house over 35 years ago I hadn’t visualised having to sleep 4 extra people and having enough room for toys for the gks to play with.Right I need to get a wriggle on if I’m going to meet the train 😁😆😁January spends - £587.582 -
Kids love sleeping on camp beds. It's a little adventure for them.
Hope you have a lovely time with family.0 -

They definitely love the camp beds…..I just don’t love making them up as there is hardly room to move around them in the room 😂😂
They arrived and it’s been a whirlwind ever since. 😵💫😂
We unearthed all the remaining sacks of potatoes……great excitement was had every time they found one. I’d cooked enough for all of us…..so I thought 😂😂 but I ended up having to put more in for dh when he came in from work, as they’d demolished the lot…..bottomless pits come to mind.
They we’re thrilled with the dresses. I’d bought a bigger size than needed and was very pleased I did as there is growing room without looking too big 👍 so MSE as well.Today has been a NSD so August spend still stand at £223January spends - £587.581 -
