Dh is forgiven for forgetting our anniversary. We’ve had a lovely day. He did his usual zoom with his U3A group then we went to a local Turkish restaurant which has been done up over the lockdown to make it a daylong venue from breakfast till late. I wasn’t disappointed…..although I had my usual mixed mezze and chicken sis, rice and salad….£11.50 for 2 courses….the portions are slightly smaller than the evening but just right for me….I leave half if I go in the evening or pile it onto dh and it’s a fiver cheaper too. We were going to have a cake but couldn’t manage it. From there we headed to seaside place an hour and half away but stayed out of the centre and walked along the promenade at the far end we stopped for coffee and shared a cake and had a little amble along one of the piers. We’d planned chips by the sea before we came home but weren’t hungry so have just had a bite of supper at home. We haven’t been in long. I’d expected to see some big waves as it was quite windy….there were some small waves but nothing like I’ve seen previously there. I need to go to Cornwall to see some proper waves We dodged the rain - just a bit as we walked to the car. But it was awful on the way home on the motorway- torrential rain, no lighting and the cats eyes and road markings need replacing- glad I wasn’t driving. It’s a horrible stretch of motorway.
I’m at the GPS tomorrow morning for blood tests…..not sure what for as it’s only a couple of months since they did the last ones.
A NSD for me. August spend £8 so far.January spends - £587.580 -
Just got back from having blood tests it was an old friend form my college days straight after school so we had a nice catch up - even though she was taking my blood. She had no idea why the doc had requested more bloods as the ones I had taken a couple of months ago looked fine to her 🤔🤔 Anyway I’ve go a phone appointment with the GP on the 12 th so I can ask then.
Today I need to sort the forms out from work and the ESA forms…..I’m dreading it and mainly because it’s on the computer - give em a pen and paper any day 😉
But first off I’m having a cuppa 😃January spends - £587.580 -
😡😡 My doctors surgery is getting worse. I went for bloods this morning and the HA - an old friend didn’t know what they were testing for so after I’d gone she spoke to several GPS - nobody had ordered them. Then she spoke to the lady who’d sent me the text message. ‘Ooops it was a mistake’ Anyway my friend phoned in her professional role to tell me and they are doing to use the blood to test for cholesterol and get me to go in for a heart health test….which is due anyway. So I needn’t have given blood at all 😡😡 I bet they got my friend to phone and soften the blow…..
We’ve spent all afternoon trying to retrieve the form HR had sent me as we could see the links but they wouldn’t open. Thank goodness for dh is all I can say 👍 Then I didn’t need it for the ESA form….
I spent the rest of the afternoon filling in the form for ESA which was easier than I expected, but I know it’s the initial contact. I remember having to fill forms in when ds was little - it was awful to see it all written down. I used the occupational health report to help me. The only problem is sending my sick notes in. School have them and it’s shut for the holidays. I have taken copies but only have 2 and there should be 3. It’ll be in my paper trail somewhere but by this stage I’d lost the will to live and have phoned to get new
copies from the docs.
l’ve been making a card for a friends ruby wedding anniversary. Very MSE as I’m using my stash. Hope the crocheted rose is ok.Then to top my afternoon of stressing over computer things - I was locked out of here and had to sign in…..couldn’t remember my password. I hate technology with a vengeance 🤯😵💫January spends - £587.581 -
