A few weeks ago they showed Susan Calman in Great Yarmouth, that’s where we went every year when I was a little girl. It was so strange to see everything just the same including the very same slot machines I’d played on as a child.I get knocked down but I get up again (Chumbawamba, Tubthumping)0

It’s definitely strange seeing places you know on tv. They’ve used my home town quite a bit over the last few years. I think the best were the opening scenes of a Netflix series called The Stranger….it showed the old church and ‘glass umbrella’ over the market hall…..it looked very impressive….I’m presuming they filmed it with a drone. They also use an Art Deco theatre a lot - it’s where they filmed an explosive scene at the end of Peaky Blinders. They’ve been filming a children’s series this week by the market hall. There was a hairdressers shop in a series called Scarborough…..which is nowhere near Scarborough but in my home town….it’s still there so I’m wondering if they plan another series.January spends - £587.580

I’ve just scrolled through and can’t see that I’ve posted anywhere I shouldn’t….maybe I forgot to press send 😊
I’ve looked at my finances and decided to count my month from my cc bill which is a week in. So far in my month of August I’ve spent £43 as I did a big shop yesterday.
The weekend was a bit of a washout as the weather was dire and dh was suffering with his dodgy shoulder. This has been going on a while and looked as if had improved at one at age but it came back with a vengeance. Will he do anything about it. NO. 😡🤔😵💫
I did some cooking yesterday. I’ve had a big piece of pork in the freezer I paid £4 for a while back. I invited ds round for tea so made a roast pork dinner with one half and Jamie Oliver pulled pork, beans and tomato with the other. So altogether I’ll have had 15 meals from my £4 pork…..plus tomatoes, black eyed beans, chorizo and spices…..even so I can’t argue with that for value.
My get up and go had gone this morning - I’ve been a bit mithered about a friend with Covid…..he had a massive stroke a couple of years back so not in a good place to begin with. Could go either way. Plus a relative has had a perforated ear drum and totally lost hearing…..they’ve only had hearing in one ear since birth. I’m really hoping the hearing comes back once the perforation heals. I’m not sure if it will or if damage after a perforation is usually permanent 😳
I started giving a bit of a tidy in the kitchen and ended up doing a spring clean in there…..which means I’ve done nothing else and I’ve run out of steam half way through. I’m just having a cuppa before I continue. Why oh why did I start…..it all started with a splash of something on my tiles 😳😳😳😳 one thing led to another…..
Right I’m off to continue. At least tea is just warming up leftovers.
im going out for lunch with a teacher from work tomorrow 😃January spends - £587.581
