I had a nasty bite on my foot last week after we had been out in our garden with no shoes on. No idea what it was that bit me but it swelled up really badly and was itchy for ages. Thankfully managed it with antihistamine though. No need to go to the doctors.
I think the warm weather seems to have brought more bugs out than usual.2 -
I’ve just made a couple of cards to take to the children I worked with that are moving on to secondary school. Made me quite sad and thoughtful. But it was MSE and I used some of my card making stash…..trying my best to hit the July spending target 😃 I’d have been fine if I hadn’t bought so much booze for our weekend away a couple of weeks ago…..and it’s still in the back of the car 😏 I’m going to take the cards over lunchtime and I might even get to see the girls…..not sure what the policy is these days about letting people into school.January spends - £587.580

I took the cards to school but had to drop them at the reception. I’d have quite liked to see the girls but never mind at least they know I was wishing them well. I feel a bit sad at the way it has all finished - if it has finished at school. I came home and immediately went to the kitchen and had eaten a sandwich before the kettle had boiled……it would have been so easy to carry on eating but I hope I’ve reigned it in just in time for weigh in tomorrow. My foot is still very swollen after the bit on my ankle but not as red and angry so fingers crossed it’s on the mend.I should be doing all sorts in the house but I just feel a bit meh.
It has been cat central around here - all the local cats are coming around to suss out the new kid on the block. The kitten next door is 9 months old and only recently gone any further than her own garden - and that’s just creeping along fences and finding her balance i haven’t seen her get down yet other than in her own garden 😂😂😂 I’ve had to go out several times to rescue her as she’s been hissed at 😏 it’s like having a new child and she’s not even mine 😂😂😂 not sure what will happen when she meets the thug of a car on the opposite side of the garden to her…..a beautiful black Persian type with ATTITUDE 😂😂😂😂January spends - £587.580 -
I’m not into horses or the olympics but I’ve just been watching the dressage…..how do you begin to teach a horse to what is basically dancing to the music. I was engrossed 👍🐴👍January spends - £587.580

I’m so mad. I phoned my GP to request a sick note over a week ago. It runs out on 28th. Anyway I’ve had a message today telling me to book a blood test and giving me a phone appointment with the GP on 3rd August. I’m going in as an in patient on that day for a steroid injection. So I got through to the secretary - the next telephone appointment with the GP is 16th. That’s over 3 weeks since I put the request in. I asked about an appointment for the swollen leg…..she can’t do appointments for that but I need to ring up after 8 in the morning……surely its more cost efficient to speak to somebody once they are on the phone than have to ring back……I know they’re probably short staffed and they’re doing a fantastic job during covid……but it just doesn’t make sense that this morning when the text was sent they had one on the 3 rd……now it’s 16th. She said I could ring every day for a cancellation 🤔🤔🤔🤔 and if I need to get something for my leg - ring in the morning and they’ll send a link for a photo. I’ll see how it is as it’s not as red but still very swollen. I wonder if the doctor has read the report written by another doctor in the same surgery saying I won’t be fit to go back to work……🤔😏🤔😏🤔😏🤔😏🤔😏 Moan over…..it is what it isJanuary spends - £587.581

Firstly..ouch! And secondly…did you pick up someone else’s toes by accident? The little one doesn’t seem to fit 🤣
