Ahhhhh…..so much for a bit of tidying and baking. I was paying my cc and checked my bank account to realise there has been no sick pay gone into my bank for this month. I’ve rung HR and spoken to a lovely patient lady. I tried to get onto the wage slip website and it won’t accept my passwords. So I’ve been in a right old tissue trying to get some form that I haven’t got to send to DSS or wherever it needs to go 😳😡😳😡😳😡😳😡😳 going round in circles getting nowhere fast 😡😡😡

Finally got onto the website I needed and changed email address and passwords so now the will re send the necessary forms and I can see what needs doing to send the sick notes to wherever sicknotes go. Is it dss these days or had it changed? I have been back and forth on the phone to a lovely lady from HR she was so patient. Just having a cuppa as I’ve got a banging headache. I daren’t even look in my bedroom as there are piles of papers EVERYWHERE 😳😳😳😳 as I’ve been looking for things 😳😳😳

I finished the jobs I’d had planned at 9 last night after my day was disturbed when I realised I’d had no sick pay from work. I had a banging head all day. I managed to get it into perspective after talking to a friend…..he was best man a at wedding a few weeks back - he was telling me the groom had had a seizure after the wedding and docs attributed it to stress. I gave myself a talking to. I should get the sick pay once everything is sorted - in the meantime I’ve managed to save knowing I’d be receiving a lot less cash than I was. Keep life in perspective and the stress at bay as much as possible. It scared me when dh had the seizure and I’m convinced that was stess too…….stress can do some nasty things 😳🤔
At some point today I want to do some baking. I’ve got some friends coming around tomorrow for lunch and a different one coming Monday. I’m not sure yet but lemon drizzle cake, chocolate brownies, Bakewell tarts and scones could be on both menus along with cold meats, cheese and salads. There will be spends as I’ll need some ingredients.

I don’t think I’d get it Beanie. I will have to look into it properly when I know what happening with work.
This afternoon we ended up going to Ds house for dh to do a job that cropped up. We had tea there and watched a film then called in Morrison’s on the way home, which was a waste of time as half the things I wanted weren’t available. I put  a big box of strawberries in the trolley - when I got home they were nowhere to be seen. I checked the receipt and hadn’t been charged for them so I’m suspecting they’re at the end of the conveyor belt 😏. I was absolutely shattered after standing baking so was grateful for having tea made for us 😃. Not sure what time friends are coming tomorrow but I’ll get up earlier than I usually do on a Sunday morning to make some scones and get the table set before they arrive. They are old friends so we will all muck in together 😃😃 and throw everything on the table and help ourselves 😃😃

You should get it based on your NI contributions.
As far as I know it replaces sick pay.

Maybe this is what the form that was apparently sent to my old email is about…..and why the GP wants to speak to me before she’ll issue a new sick note. I’ve had to put it to the back of my mind as I was getting in a tizzy - worrying won’t do anything to hurry things. I’d like to know why it’s taking so long to make the decision……by all accounts though the job I had and enjoyed has changed beyond all recognition and 7 staff have left the school this term partly because of a toxic atmosphere- maybe I’m doing the right thing after all. Right I’m off to bed now night night sleep tight.
