Not sure where my get up and go has gone. There’s loads I need to be doing but just cba….not sure what’s got into me. At least  I’m planning a NSD today. I want to paint a fence panel, tidy up downstairs and sort some more bits in the garden and sort my finances out……it’s not looking promising though. Think I need to prioritise - at least Hoover the living room floor for a start.
I need to go back to Specsavers with my hearing aid tomorrow…..I’ve got an annoying whistle. Lady wants be to go back to a mould instead of the dome. I’ve told her I would rather put up with a whistle than have the mould again after last time…..watch this space.

I find you have to be quite forceful with Specsavers. Mr SA gets his eyes tested there and they keep trying to persuade him to have vari focals. He gets his glasses free as long as they’re readers and rarely uses them. The amount of times he falls over imagine how many pairs he’d get through if he had them on all the time. Just trying to get money out if him in my opinion. Stand your ground for what you want not what they want you to have.

I will SA…..it won’t cost me anything at Specsavers as they’re NHS but it’s the comfort and for vanity reasons I’m being stubborn 😏 I’ve never had any problems with them until this last time. They just didn’t listen when I said the aids didn’t feel right 😡😡
Yesterday was an NSD….spent mainly watching catchup tv as I just felt very down for some reason……probably a combination the grey day and seeing facts I knew actually written into the report for work…..and a bit of ‘am I doing the right thing’.  Anyway I did get myself together in time to Hoover the living room and cook tea (reheat leftovers).
My friend I’ve had since I was 5 messaged to say she would come over if I was in. Dh went upstairs watching tv and left us to put the world to rights with a bottle of wine and chocolate. She is an amazing dressmaker and has taken a couple of my alterations for me 😃. She also brought me a bunch of homegrown rhubarb 😀 A lovely unexpected evening.
I will probably end up spending today when I’m in town at Specsavers. I need bread and will have a little mooch on the market. It used to be a cracking market and sprawl from the ‘glass umbrella’ market hall to the surrounding streets. Most of the stalls have changed and are arty or bespoke food stalls now which no longer sprawls... Very up and coming but not cheapanymore. There is an amazing button stall though so I will have a little look on there👍
Right better get up of my behind and get ready to go out 👍

I’ve got a different dome on the squeaky hearing aid….so far so good 👍
I walked there and back into town had a mooch around the market and bought a take away cuppa and cake and sat on a bench overlooking the river. I forgot the bread so will survive on pittas until tomorrow. So £3.50 spent on the cake and cuppa……which I suppose I didn’t need - especially the cake…..could have been worse if I’d have sat in somewhere.

Fingers crossed for the hearing aid 🤞Coffee and cake by the river sounds lovely, sometimes you need a treat.

So far so good with the hearing aids 👏
Today I need to chase my sicknote up……requested a week last Monday. It used to take up to 5 days now it takes up to 10 days. It was due a couple of days ago 😳
I’ve got bedding in the washer so will give the bedroom a dust and hoover and quick tidy everywhere else. It isn’t too bad so nothing too taxing today. I want to stitch a cardigan together and crochet the cuffs and bands I’m hoping to see gks the weekend after next and want to give the cardigans to them. Then I just need to finish the 2nd one before the too 🤔😃
I’ll pick some bread up when I (hopefully) drop the sicknote into work….that should be the only spend today 👍
Oh I also want to look at my finances before my July challenge with myself 😃

Result….dh has just popped in with a loaf of bread and some other bits in between jobs. He was in and out in less than 10 minutes. I think that’s one of the few times I’ve run out of bread plus I knew we had pitta bread in so he wasn’t going to starve. He’s also replenished the chocolates my friend and I had demolished the other evening…..I’d purposely not replaced to get rid of temptation. So today should now be a NSD

I’ve just been working some finances out. After Ive paid everything I pay out of my bank. With the very small pension ( from a previous part time job) I already get and SSP I should be able to manage ok. There won’t be a lot left to play with but should easily see to the food and house things/ presents etc.  The bills are sorted from dh account - which is how we’ve always worked….and I see to house and used to see to kids…..this was and still is very flexible though. However If anything were to happen to dh - that’d be a totally different matter. Can’t be easy for anyone on their own 🤔
I’ll reassess once I know what’s happening with work and my workplace pension.
    Bring on 1 July….I’m ready for a challenge 😃
