Went to C@stco yesterday. I spent Β£60 but got some good bargains. Like everywhere else you need to keep an eye on the prices and some packets are just too big for us. Iβm stocked up on cereal for dh, chicken portions, beans and tomatoes plus lots of other bits too. I didnβt get much meat as the packs were too big and dh freezer is playing up so he didnβt want to go halves as we often doβ¦..he has had a temporary repair to his freezer but expecting to have to have a new part once the temp repair stops working. So this morning I nipped to Morrisonβs and stocked up on meat and thingsβ¦..another Β£60 but it should keep em going for a good while.
Tomorrow Iβm going to do an interim spending plan which will include paying my cc ahead of its monthly statement. Iβll work out much how much I have available each week and stick within it. I used to do it when the kids were little so can do it again. Iβve got very lax with the spends over time as Iβve had my wages and dh has always paid the bills. I do have some savings - which Iβve managed to acquire since Iβve been debt free but they wonβt last long if I carry on spending as is was.ΒLet the challenge begin ππJanuary spends - Β£587.581 -
I think thereβs a few of us on a July spending challenge - or non spending challenge Β should I say π I normally pay off my cc as soon as it has a balance but this month it has built up due to lots of spending on the bedroom and garden. Thankfully this will be covered when my Regular Saver matures on Wednesday. Need to rein it in now though.I get knocked down but I get up again (Chumbawamba, Tubthumping)1
