Went to C@stco yesterday. I spent Β£60 but got some good bargains. Like everywhere else you need to keep an eye on the prices and some packets are just too big for us. I’m stocked up on cereal for dh, chicken portions, beans and tomatoes plus lots of other bits too. I didn’t get much meat as the packs were too big and dh freezer is playing up so he didn’t want to go halves as we often do…..he has had a temporary repair to his freezer but expecting to have to have a new part once the temp repair stops working. So this morning I nipped to Morrison’s and stocked up on meat and things…..another Β£60 but it should keep em going for a good while.
Tomorrow I’m going to do an interim spending plan which will include paying my cc ahead of its monthly statement. I’ll work out much how much I have available each week and stick within it. I used to do it when the kids were little so can do it again. I’ve got very lax with the spends over time as I’ve had my wages and dh has always paid the bills. I do have some savings - which I’ve managed to acquire since I’ve been debt free but they won’t last long if I carry on spending as is was.Β
    Let the challenge begin πŸ˜πŸ˜ƒ

I think there’s a few of us on a July spending challenge - or non spending challenge Β should I say πŸ˜† I normally pay off my cc as soon as it has a balance but this month it has built up due to lots of spending on the bedroom and garden. Thankfully this will be covered when my Regular Saver matures on Wednesday. Need to rein it in now though.
