We had a lovely curry…..ds cooked a combination of mild and spicy food so everyone was happy. My favourite side dish was green beans with coconut and tamarind I couldn’t get enough of it. I had chicken korma and a mild lentil Dahl too 👍 so got my pulses in 😃 and home made naan bread. Dh was very happy as he’s brought a goody bad of spicy stuff for tonight too 👍
I’ve done a bit of tidying……it’s getting up and down whilst dusting fireplace etc that still really gets me and I have to crawl to the chair to get up……I started thinking about a 45 minute tai chi session I’m booked on tomorrow…..there just no way I can balance with weight predominately on one side of my body or another so I’ve cancelled it. I followed one of the tai chi sessions by the old instructor I used to go to on the clubs website. I managed about 10 minutes. So my goal is to work up and make sure I can do a couple of 45 sessions at home before I head back to class.
ive picked some sweet peas and the house smells lovely- very mse - the more you pick the more flowers you get 👍
Low spend day I only need potatoes and milk 😃
I had porridge and fruit for breakfast
    cold meat salad for dinner

I went for my swim - 8 lengths with rests between and 10 minutes in the jacuzzi…..I could have stayed much longer with the bubbles but was aware it’s very popular and only 2 are allowed in. I resisted the cafe too 👍
I called to Aldi for potatoes on my way home but couldn’t find a space in the carpark so drove over to Morrison’s- big mistake 3 lots of plants fell into my basket £6 😏 - my pansies in my tubs have suddenly given up but they’ve been in flower a good while so they’ve earned their keep. I spent £15 in all…..I’d have been better in Aldi 🤔
I’d intended doing a bit in the garden but it was black and looked as if the heavens we’re going to open. Instead I ended up giving my kitchen a good clean. I hadn’t intended to be so thorough but one thing led to another. It looks like new again now but I’m shattered….swim and cleaning on the same day 😏
My sweet peas in the house smelt gorgeous when I came in 🌺😃
I’m actually really surprised as everyone is saying how bad the pollen is and it hasn’t affected me this year and this is usually my bad time. You know what’ll happen now though I’ve tempted fate 😂😂

I didn’t know that about Sweet Peas and never pick mine so will do so from now onwards.

Apparently the pollen count is only very high in two areas, one of which I live in which is just typical. Mr SA suffers terribly with grass pollen and he’s taken to wearing his face mask outdoors, which has helped somewhat.

SA the idea with sweet peas is to stop them making seed pods as once they do that the plants job is done. You are also supposed to take surplus tendrils off so energy goes into the flowers…..I don’t often get around to doing that though. I’ve saved the seeds the last couple of years ( let them dry out on the plant) and planted them in pots about September - they did really well the year before last but this year did well in pots until we had a heavy snow which saw them off. I’ve got my mini green house now and will over winter them in there this year 😂😃 I’ve just been painting my mini greenhouse to hopefully protect the wood. Another MSE thing to try and protect it 😃

It’s the new norm Beanie…..I’m sure it’ll catch on .
A NSD here today. It’s taken me all day to paint the mini greenhouse. I want to get my garden into some sort of organised place again. We currently have bags of stone and soil everywhere from when we did the front. It’s a MSE project as I wanted to save the slate chippings and some soil as I know we’ll need to buy more in the future. The plan is it’ll be stored in boxes under the old dining room table which I painted a week or so ago. The greenhouse will go on top of said table. Hopefully Dh will put the greenhouse on top of the table in the morning so I can decide what to do next. I’ve seen some lovely garden chairs in IKEA to go in my shady nook……but they’re expensive annnnnnd….. sold out. I know they get garden furniture in at the beginning of the season and then don’t seem to  get any more in until the following year. The 15 year old chairs I’ve just painted are in the same range so I know they last whereas the cheaper one I got a few years ago is cracking everywhere. So the plan is to hope the cracked ones last this year and buy the IKEA ones next spring 😃 I’m going to set up a savings pot with the saving from not going to SW 👍 it’s a while since I’ve had a savings plan 👍👍
Well 😂😂😂😂 I tend to sow seeds and ds sows some and we swap….although I haven’t done any this year - just got some from ds. I helped him pot up some 🌶 chillies. I’ve never grown chillies before. I brought some home and tended to them on my kitchen window ledge. I’ve fed them tomato food and my neighbour looked after them whilst I was away.  I kept saying it reminded me of a weed…..must be the same family or something. Dh has about 6 of the same plant tending them at his. As dh moved a pot for me today said weed was growing outside and dh said how it looked like the chillies on the window ledge…….we googled it and  we must have the best fed and watered weeds around 😂😂😂😂 the chilly seeds must have failed as they were a couple of years old and weed seeds wafted onto the compost…..dh was gutted as he was looking forward to home grown chillie 🌶😂😂😂😂🌶😂😂😂😂🌶 Mmmmmm…..not sure how MSE that is 😏

Oh dear to the chillies 🤣🤣 You should see Mr SA’s crop of random plants growing in the greenhouse, there is a stray lobelia growing amongst our chilli plants and a pot full of as yet unidentifiable leaves 😆

SA hope your chillies are better than mine 😂😂😂
I was up and out early this morning- I had a blood test. I’m not expectIng anything back as I’ve had a couple of tests at the hospitals which didn’t show anything up. I think the tiredness is more muscular than anything else.
I had a phone call to see how I’m getting on with my hearing aids. I mentioned I get a whistle occasionally and immediately she suggested changing to a mould. I was very firm and said no way……anyway I go on Tuesday afternoon. Watch this space 😏
it hasn’t been a NSD today - I spent £19 in Morrison’s on my way home from the docs. I’ve got an old work friend coming around for dinner. I did take some trousers that are too big back and had a £12 refund so not too bad.
