At least it’s a NSD today as I haven’t been out. I’m sheltering inside from the heat but planning on doing a fence panel with the paint slobber I bought last year in half an hour or so when there is a bit of shade. Win win all round….protecting the fence to prolong it and using some stock up. I can’t remember where I bought the paint from - think it was Homebase own make…..could be interesting when I have to buy more as it’s a different shade than I usually use. But it’s all we could get hold of last year when there were shortages everywhere……seems surreal when I look back couldn’t get fence panels or fence paint….what we got was rubbish and needs doing again 😏😳 especially on the older panels…..it didn’t take well over the old stuff 😲
What a waffle…..hope everyone is nodding off after my ramblings 😂😂

Or here (also highlands). The sun came out eventually, but it’s not sweltering!

Your family day sounded lovely milann. And such nice thoughtful gifts for your SIL. 😃
I agree it was absolutely sweltering yesterday. Really don't like the weather too hot!  Funny - used to be able to lie out for hours in the Med sun years ago - now I'm happier in the shade!  Absolutely teemed last night and this morning here - is now overcast but muggy.

It was hot here yesterday but we had lots of rain in the night that cooled things down, mind you it's warmed up now 😊 Could your tiredness be down to lack of food absorption,,maybe you need a supplement of some sorts 😊

OBL I asked the doc about that as it’s the 2nd chunk of intestine I’ve had removed - apparently the left hand side removal of intestine shouldn’t affect food absorption as that’s all done on the right hand side. I’m going to do a bit of research though…..it had crossed my mind too.
It was one of my old school friends birthday today so I’ve been around there. Lol it’s always a chaotic house with dogs, cats and people coming and going 😂😂It was good to see her….I’ve not seen her for over a year - think that’s one of the longest periods ever.
I did a bit of food shopping as the fridge was bare…I’d hoped to last until weekend when I want to visit C@stc o to stock up but it wasn’t to be 😏

So I’ve been doing a lot of contemplating about cash and life in general this last couple of days. I read through my old diary which I started in September 2009…….since then I’ve become debt free but not a lot else has changed. I joined SW in 2010/2011 I’ve been a member ever since except for a few times when I stopped and then rejoined again. I’ve been at target twice but am virtually back to where I started - not quite but very close - wanting to loose at least a stone. My ankle is still rubbish but my hip is now keeping it company causing problems……and my tummy issues continue.
I must have wasted so much cash at SW but it does work if you stick to it and I’ve made some lovely friends. But I’m pleased I’ve stopped paying 😲
So it’s made me think of some of the things I used to do to help me stay on track with everything....batch cooking…..not sure why but I don’t ever seem to have much room in the freezer these days…..a spending diary and positivity and exercise regime. I think I need to re introduce some of them as I know cash will take a big hit to when I was getting my full wage.
I’m going to have a think and try to hatch a plan - a realistic one I can stick to…..
Tomorrow I’m going to make use of my gym membership and go for a swim where I’m meeting a friend and we’ll go for a cuppa….using 25% off in cafe 👍
    Today I’m grateful for
    - seeing an old friend
    - whoopsied luxury coleslaw 15p and 15 eggs for 35p
    - still being around and being able to re read my old diary and think how far I’ve come with my finances 😃👍

Just start with small changes until they become second nature. You know what works you just need to be in the right frame of mind. You’ve had a lot going on in the past few months with the op, work, building works then the pandemic on top of all that, no wonder you’re discombobulated.

Thanks SA…..it’s easy to forget what a lot has happened during this last year or so. It’s bound to have a bearing on things when I stop to think about it.
