Workmen can be so sneaky...I wonder how many times he’s pulled the receipt scam off?
I once had one ringing chasing non payment of a bill I’d paid the day I got it....luckily by bank transfer so they couldn’t dispute it, but so cheeky trying again! It was a good 8 months later, so I’m sure it was done in the hope people would forget. Not all who wander are lost - J.R.R.Tolkien

I think we have been lucky with both of our houses we have owned in that we have never had to really do anything to them other than a bit of decorating.
Hoping with this (2 year old now!!) new build that it will be a long while before we have to do any major work to it.1 -
We’ve been in the house about 37 years 😳 how did that happen 😳 We hadn’t really planned any of the major things we’ve recently had done.....one thing just led to another....like relative having a wheelchair accident and no longer able to get upstairs - hence the downstairs loo. Gates needed widening for motorhome led to new fencing, underground pipes and flags levelling.....and so it goes on....hopefully we’ll get the finishing touches done over the next week or so 😃
I’m not planning any spends today....it needs to be a close to home day as my tummy is playing up a bit.
Not sure if I said but I’ve been in touch with SW consultant and cancelled - I’m not fully committed and can find better things to do with best part of £5 a week now I’m not on my full wage. I still want to loose a stone though.....think I need a new approach and basically use more calories than I eat.....it’s not rocket science so why is it so hard 😏
Still waiting for the skip to be collected.....I think my little front garden will look quite big once it’s gone 😃January spends - £587.581 -
I’m the same as you with losing weight I think you’re head has got to be in the right place I’ve done every slimming club you can think of maybe a few you can’t I’ve joined every exercise class and gym going for years the first slimming club I joined I was 16; years old and weighed 6 stone 4 if only she had said no when my oldest some was diagnosed a diabetic when he was 11 I was so worried about him I list a lot of weight and his consultant noticed when I told him it was the only time I’d ever lost weight without trying he said the only thing that diets do is make you fat I’m afraid that’s true in my case I’m the biggest I’ve ever been in my life0

You were doing so well with the weightloss Izzy - must be hard to focus with everything going on with the house. Keep the wedding clothes in mind and you’ll get there. I picked my bag with the stone of books in this morning. It’s keeping me focussed 👍January spends - £587.582

The skip has been collected 😃
I’ve been sanding my wooden garden furniture so need to go and choose some paint to do it in. I’ve got a tiny electric sander which is brilliant. I can use it with my left hand so my poorly arm isn’t affected 😃January spends - £587.581 -
I've just read Dr Rangan Chattergees new book about weight loss,it's not a diet plan but it goes into why most diets don't work and just lead to more weight gain or losing and gaining the same weight over and over again which is my problemOriginal Debt Owed Jan 18 = £17,630 Paid To Date = £6,736 Owed = £10,8941

Thanks for the recommendation of the book. I knew you’d read one OBL but wasn’t sure if it was him or Dr Ruby ( or some name similar) I think I’ve discovered how to do a podcast…..it flashed up on my iPad 😃😃 I noticed both docs have podcasts so I am going to see if I can listen to them 👍 Good Luck Beanie….I’ve still got a cassette of Paul McKenna you sent me years ago which I’ll grab out again.Doh…..I went to B&Q last night for some paint for my old dining table and old wooden garden chairs that have been in the shed for a long time. I thought I’d ordered the £25 tub….it’s from the range where they mix a colour for you….I’ve had it made to match the decking colour. Got to the till and it was £42……not sure if i asked for the wrong one or they went on auto pitlot and did a big one…..anyway I’ll have enough for many years of coating the furniture 😳😳👍 I painted the top of the table…..it looks so different and I quite like it. The sky was the bluest it had been all day and suddenly out of nowhere great big drops of the wet stuff 💦💦 then it went again 🤔🤔 so this morning we counted 20 indents in the paintwork where big raindrops had landed…..😂😂😂😂one even had a splash splatter around it 😂😂😂 I went on to paint the slatted backs of one chair then the sky went black so thought I’d better stop. And my arm was hurting….so my job today is to paint the chairs…..at least give them a start.January spends - £587.580
