Milann's life keeps getting in the way.......

It sounds like it would be a good idea to schedule some time alone for MrM on future trips. I get "over peopled" if I don't get some time to myself, especially if I'm out of my usual routine. I hope that you get your garden sorted to how you want it.0

No news re the medical retirement. The week before I went away I had to visit the GP surgery to read a report.....I noted the date was wrong on something so requested getting it changed. Once that has been checked it should be ok to be sent off.
I had the report through re the consultation with the surgeon and as a result I have a phone consultation with my GP next week re some treatments that might help a little problem that’s been ongoing since I had the surgery. 🤞
The fellas doing the paving have just turned up and hopefully will put the snagging list right. I felt a bit mean pointing some of the faults out but I’m going to break my neck on the level between the grass and paving area if we keep it as it is.
I feel as if I’m constantly complaining atm.
Physio and a mooch around town followed by a big shop is on the cards today.

I remember our conversation about the issue so am glad you are getting some help. Hope the physio goes well and no plants end up in your big shop 😂. Don't over do itLife is an adventure, never stop exploring.0

Physio went well. I’ve got to ring for another appointment in 6 weeks.......you can only rebook 3 weeks in advance for some reason. The snagging list has meant the flagging folk had to virtually redo a lot of the work from last week. In retrospect we should have told them to do another job whilst we were away. I was just looking forward to it being finished when we came back. Anyway the paving is looking a lot better now.😀 He needs to finish off and get the skip collected tomorrow. He has worked really hard and I felt for them in the heat and kept them topped up with drinks and ice cream.......but he should have done it right first time. Once they’ve finished we can decide exactly what we’re doing for the shady nook 😃😃😃😃 it shouldn’t cost too much....just the price of the parasol and a fence panel 👍
After physio I walked into town and went to the market for some buttons for cardigans I’m making for the gks. I have previously bought buttons for said cardigans but I must have thrown the bag away thinking it was empty.....and 5 balls of wool fell into my basket. It’s for a baby blanket for next door to replace the one I’d made that went fluffy. Hopefully this wool will be better. I had a sandwich and cuppa at a little cafe on the market and it was lovely.....freshly made and £2.50 so a bargain. I realised it was a parent of a boy in ds primary school- we recognised each other after over 30 years 👍😂 I was quite impressed with that. I really need to get a grip on spends though.....my wool addiction is nearly as bad as my plant addiction 😏January spends - £587.580 -
I'm a bit like your husband although I'm not rude about it and do try to be discreet if I'm sneaking off, I can only cope for limited times with lots of people especially if there are children involved too. I will take myself off for a walk but luckily there is usually a dog or two around that I can offer to walk, people are usually just happy because it saves them the job 😀Original Debt Owed Jan 18 = £17,630 Paid To Date = £6,736 Owed = £10,8940

Dh is back to normal now, although a bit stressed with the work we’ve had done outside. I do appreciate how he needs his space but do wish he’d go about it differently... ah well - just a good job we’re not all the same. He’s my very own grumpy old man at times 😂😂
I’m waiting on a friend from work to get in touch as we’d planned to meet today. I should be putting some things away upstairs but my get up and go has gone after my busy day yesterday. I need to shape myself 👍January spends - £587.580 -
I put the things away upstairs and went around to a friends. She lost her mum a few months back and took it very badly ending up in hospital for her mh. I haven’t seen her since I was last in work last September. We had a great afternoon sitting in her garden and drinking a lovely non alcoholic fizz.....she looked better than I’d seen her in years. It really cheered me up.
I had a message from my other friend who has breast cancer and they think they’ve removed everything and it doesn’t look as if she’ll need chemo 🤞😃
I timed it so that I wasn’t home until dh had dealt with the the paving guy...he’d given me some receipts yesterday in a hope I’d pay him extra, but he originally said they were included in the price and dh had the email to prove it.....I’d had enough and never want to see a workman again 😲😲The job is now complete bar the skip being collected tomorrow. He has jet washed it all - if only he had done that first time around I’d have been a very happy milann 😏. We do need another workman in to do some plastering in my bedroom before it is decorated but I’m not sure I can face it just yet.January spends - £587.580 -
Glad the paving is done.

When we had this house plastered it nearly drove me mad my youngest son is a plasterer he did it for us but of course it had to fit round his work and running it was the middle of winter I climbed over the dining table to get into bed for 6 weeks never again I’m dreading in case we need any done when we get in our new house0
