No - still waiting to hear about the retirement. They’re certainly not hurrying 😲
A friend I used to work with came around today. She is an amazing lady - we put the world to rights. She lost over 8 st with sw a couple of years back - some has gone back on so she is trying to get back to close to where she was. I found it so easy eating healthily today with no grazing…..think I need to invite her around every day 😏

Mmm…..just been checking my finances and my half pay from work has come to an end. I’m down over £800 a month from when I was getting a wage and just on SSP now. I knew it was coming but was a bit of a shock when I actually saw it on my bank statement.
I need to really watch the pennies now - no more frivolous spends on plants, craft stuff and clothes. I’m going to stock up at C@stc@ at weekend as I’ve been using up my freezer getting ready for a big cooking session.
Today will be a NSD. No plans as such but we need to do some sorting in the garden as ds is off but it’s a grey drizzly day here…..a bit like how I feel 😏

If you're on SSP can you claim universal credit or is there too much other income to the household? My friend didn't realise that she could claim and missed out on £350 a month for 3 months. Otherwise have a hug, you sound like you need one 🥰

    Thanks Cranky.
I’m lucky that I still have my hubby so would be over the limit.  It is what it is. I really don’t think I could manage work atm….will just have to cut the cloth accordingly to my means. Could be a darn site worse than it is…..I’m still here, have dh and family, am able to enjoy life and can amuse myself most of the time. I’m lucky to have had full pay then half pay for as long as I have. We’d have been scuppered if it had been dh as he would have only got SSP from day 1 ( he has a pension now though) Need them to get a move on with the decision about the early retirement……although I’ve not a clue how much that’ll work out 🤔🤔🤔 I just need to know. I’ve phoned the GP and they still haven’t returned the forms to the pension folk by the sound of it 😳😳

The post has just arrived. I have a letter from occupational health saying I am not fit to continue with my employment nor will I be before pensionable age. Just shows what my GP surgery knows…..this morning they told me the report hadn’t been sent off yet….and there’s reference to it in the letter from Occy health 😏 Anyway they give me 10 days should I wish to appeal or make any amendments to it before they send it to my employer. I’m presuming it is then sent to pensions people. There was talk of seeing an independent doctor once the pensions people get involved but not sure if that’ll happen or not due to covid……at least things feel as if they’re moving now.
I’ve just spent an rather pleasant hour pottering in the garden with dh. It’s taking shape again after the recent upheaval 😃

You can think about applying for ESA.

I’ve been doing a bit of measuring where I fancied the corner chairs I’d seen for the garden. They won’t fit - about 6 inches too wide…..which is just as well as they were a tad expensive. I do have a wicker style plasticky sofa and chair for there but it has gone brittle and I don’t think it’ll survive  another winter outside….so I’ll keep them and maybe just get a couple of chairs to match the ones I’ve just painted next year. I’m presuming IKEA will still do them as they’ve been doing them years…..they fold up to put away over winter and come up like new so I think that’ll be the way to go for my shady nook 😃mmmmmm….still in planning stages…..I might see something better 😏
