The  schools around here stopped it a few years ago Beanie. My last school was a SEND school and some of the children came from poor backgrounds. The staff clubbed together to treat them - especially at Christmas. It was stopped.  We got around it the first year by having a Christmas party and giving every child a ‘prize’ they’d ‘won’ in a game. This was stopped too as apparently it could be considered as grooming.....we had a student who hadn’t been told and gave all the children in the class a lolly when she finished her placement.....she was hauled into the office and her tutors informed 😲 My current school only stopped it last year. The world has gone mad...... I should imagine giving an egg at FB is fine as it’s a responsible adult you’re giving it to.

Had a lovely day today. Been to visit my brother - he’s been worrying about me and I’ve been worrying about him as he has been in and out of hospital recently. We sat outside and it was blooming freezing. He looked a lot better than I expected and I think he was pleased to see me. We stayed about half an hour and then went to the big Asda at the end of his road. It was nice shopping somewhere different - on the way home we popped in Costco. So not a NSD 😲......My April challenge from tomorrow is to use what I have in and only buy what I need. I’m running out of space everywhere.....and getting into bad habits again.

That’s good you got to see your brother. I need to rein it in with the April spends too, my freezer is rammed. Also a lot colder today where I live.

How nice to see your brother. I was thinking earlier about popping up to my mum and dads next week for a garden visit, I will wait to see what happens with the weather though as DD says they have forecast snow on Tuesday for here,I find  that hard to believe but you never know 🙀

We went out for a walk at the water park about a 15 minute drive from here. We walked around  the first lake then along the river to the bigger lake - we walked around that too. Had a lovely ready made picnic - tacos from Costco 😂👍 easiest picnic I’ve ever done. I was done in and couldn’t make it back along the river to the first lake. So I sat on a bench whilst dh and ds went back for the car and picked me up from where I was. It took them about an hour - I was happy in the sunshine with a flask of coffee and brownie 👍😋 I had a small pair of binoculars in the bag so sat watching wildlife in the fields below  - including a heron and a rat in the grass 😳 it was quite funny dodging the people who passed oblivious to its being. There were a lot of blue tits and robins visiting a bird table too. I had a really chilled time.....much better than walking the full distance back. I don’t think I’d have made it.....frustrating as I used to do that walk regularly. I remember doing it about this time last year. It’s where the flood gates open to stop the river breaking its banks and Boris Johnson filmed when the river was on the verge of flooding a while back. It was busy but not silly and there were a lot of wardens out keeping an eye on things.
We bumped into dh niece and her family - we don’t see them often so it was lovely to have a chat too.
