  • We've had sleet here inbetween sunny spells, I can't believe how changeable it is at the moment!

I think you're doing amazingly well after such a serious op, but I know it must seem slow and frustrating to you. It's definitely best to think about how far you've come since the op, rather than what you can't do. By the summer I bet you'll be walking miles again and the weather will be consistently warmer by then :).

Well it was blowing an absolute blizzard here about an hour before I had to head out to town. I’d decided I’d better go in the car....then the sun came out just as I was due to go. So I took a chance and walked. Brilliant sunshine but it was bitter. Hat scarf and gloves came out.
They looked at my hearing aids and I’m due new ones - had these ones 6 years. They did an alteration to the noisy one but it’s an intermittent fault so I’ll be taking it in and out as it’ll be driving me mad until I get the new ones on the 19th. They put new domes on them both. Anyway I had a bit of a mooch in savers and was heading to the big Tesco and decided to ring dh to see if he fancied a take away from a new place that has opened and we had a voucher for bogof. I took my aid out to use the phone, as I usually do.....the aid came away but the dome stuck in my ear 😳 I tried to get it out - could feel it but couldn’t get it. I phoned specsavers and they were due to close at 6......this was 10 to and I’d walked to the opposite side of town 😲 I rushed as fast as I could. They’d stayed open for me - the man on the door said I’d probably need to go to A&E to get it out as they weren’t allowed to probe......anyway the audiologist was lovely and by lots of coaxing and turning it she managed to get it......could only happen to me 😂😂😂 I’ve had their aids years and never had any problems before.
I spent £4 in savers on toothpaste and washing up sponge which will be covered and made into a mattress for the dolls house 😀 Dh bought the takeaway......not the meal I’d intended as I was going to be good.....but I reckoned dh needed something different to break the routine and cheer him up. I only had meat and salad in pitta so not too bad.....and I’ll log it in my book for day 1/100 😊

Sometimes it does you good to break routine. How scary with the stuck hearing aid. Reminds me of the time DD got an earring stuck in her earlobe, she had to have it cut out in hospital.
I get knocked down but I get up again (Chumbawamba, Tubthumping)

Wow, glad that they managed to get it out.
Glad that you enjoyed the takeaway :)

Had a very lazy day here today. I’ve been sitting hand sewing bedding for the dolls house bed whilst watching catch up Waterloo Road. I started watching it when I was banished upstairs when we had the builders in and I’d forgotten about it with the excitement of getting free reign of the house again.
Hearing aid is still making strange noises so I’ve not had it in all day. Roll on 19th when I get 2 new ones 👍
Day 2 of the challenge has been good....stayed on plan food wise but haven’t been out for a walk yet. I’ve filled my diary in 👍
Dh is phoning the plumber who repaired our boiler previously in a hope he can come tomorrow when dh is in. It was absolutely freezing here yesterday as we couldn’t get it or the fire to kick in. Dh left the fir on for me this morning 😀 Blow me it’s come back on this afternoon of it’s own accord. I hate intermittent faults 😡
A NSD here for me 👍

How annoying about the boiler, mine used to do that but touch wood has been ok since I had a new control box fitted. You will have to post photos of the dollhouse bedding, I'm going to take some photos of the inside of mine at some point, it still needs a lot doing to it though
Well done on sticking to your plan. I really need to sort myself out with my food and fitness. I have been walking so that does help

OBL I’m just going to paint some furniture for the house. I’m using some tester pots we have for the railway buildings.....not sure what it’ll look like but since it’s only for the kids should be ok.
I’ll post you a piccy when it’s dry and complete👍
Heating has come on again this morning....doing my head in 😡😡 I want it to fail then we can get it sorted once and for all 🤔 it’s been like this for months now 😒 and I’m sick of it as I don’t have the knack of sorting it when it doesn’t come on..
I thought I had loads of time sorting the girls bedroom and messing with the house for them....it’s suddenly 4 days until they come 😂😂 they’ll be thrilled with whatever I manage to get done for them as they won’t be expecting it 👍
