We went out for a run to a big garden centre a drive away today. I do love this place - especially at Christmas. Think we both needed a run out. I was looking at cacti - I have a big old jar I used to keep rice in but the seal has gone. I want to turn it into a terrarium. We looked at the ones there with cacti in - £40 plus 😳. Anyway I got some ideas and will look elsewhere for some plants as although it’s lovely to mooch around it is quite expensive - gave me food for thought though. Dh got some replacement bulbs for his solar garden ornaments.
We were out longer than I expected and was ready to eat a scabby donkey😲😂 we ended up stopping at Greg’s ( the one we walked to a while ago) I’d planned a salad but they sold out so I ended up with a pizza. At least I’ve acknowledge it in my diary so day 3 of my challenge is in tact 😏 will make me think and do better tomorrowJanuary spends - £587.580 -

How lovely, the GKs will be so thrilled. You must have a lot of patience to make such tiny covers.I get knocked down but I get up again (Chumbawamba, Tubthumping)0

SA I love making small things. Same as when I used to ice cakes I loved doing the tiny filigree work- sadly I can’t do that anymore as it really upsets my arm.I’ve been looking at a crochet site and somebody has been making crochet appliqué for greeting cards which were beautiful. Think I might have a little dabble at something like that - or at least put it on my to do list 😂😂January spends - £587.581

I used to make a lot of greeting cards and have boxes of stash SA....I love crochet but have never combined the 2.I’ve got a few projects I need to finish though....altering the sleeves on a dress and finishing a jumper for me, an Aran cardi for gdds 😳 think I’ve bitten off more than I can chew with this though 😲 and finishing a blanket I’m crocheting for next door. I prefer something I can finish quickly 👍
