Dh has had notification to self isolate for 4 days. Means we won’t be able to see relative at weekend😢 Better than passing anything on though. No idea who he has been in contact with. 4 days is odd though🤔🤔🤔
I’ve had a letter to be part of a study to see how many of the population have antibodies so I’ll fill that in and see what happens.
    Another lazy NSD here 😄

  • Oh sorry to hear DH is in isolation , 4 days will fly by. The study you mention I am involved in as well or a similar one. I had to do a pinprick test and put blood on a card and send it away, that was in December , they said it could take up to 8 weeks for the result, owing to laboratories being busy. Mine went to a hospital in London. Haven't been out yet today because of the weather . The

I’ve just filled the form in on line so will see what happens. They say they might not need everyone. Yes, SA apparently it pin pricks in your finger. Could be interesting to see if I have antibodies.
I ended up going to pick a sick note from my GP and dropped some Blood Pressure reading in whilst I was there. Apparently there was a sick note posted out to me last week....i haven’t received it yet so they’ve printed a duplicate out which I dropped off at school. I was getting a bit worried work would start complaining as it was due on 4th. I had a chat to the receptionist at school - there’s more than half the children in....totally different to the last lockdown. One of the children spotted me and a member of staff came and brought her out to see me. It made me realise how much I miss them.
On my way home I nipped into B&M for some bread and milk so it wasn’t a NSD after all. I picked up a couple of wallpaper samples too. I’ve asked a neighbour who did the rest of the decorating if he wants to do it.....not sure he will with the lockdown. If he doesn’t we will do it ourselves - I’ll be in a supervisory role 😂😂😂 Dh actually liked some of the paper I picked - the one I thought he wouldn’t want. It really needs replastering in there so we have to have a textured one to hide the state of the walls. I can’t cope with having walls replastered atm. 😳

My youngest son is a plasterer and years ago he plastered my living room and kitchen of course I had to wait until he didn’t have a lot of work on which was the middle of winter it was awful he kept coming on a night when he finished work I think for a week I climbed over the dining chairs to get into bed because everything from downstairs had to go up we were supposed to be getting the stairs done but I couldn’t cope with anymore so just papered it with a thick texture wallpaper and I’ve never been brave enough to think about it again😂

I would check the message to self isolate is genuine because four days isn't enough, there's been lots of scams going around lately, one lady was told to self isolate and then offered a test that she had to pay for and she paid for it but it wasn't genuine 😟
Does the type of surgery you have had have any possible effects on how your body processes your food, a lot of your digestion and vitamin absorption takes place in your intestines so if that's not all there or not working you might not be getting enough vitamins even if you are eating quite well, that might account for why you are feeling so tired x

It makes such a mess when you replaster. We’ve been putting off having that room replastered since we moved in over 30 years ago 😂😂 it’s now dh room for his hobbies....and has a bed settee in which we pull out when dd and sil come to stay. I really can’t believe just how much ‘stuff’ is crammed onto shelves. It needs some serious sorting.

We’ve had every room in our house replastered bar 3. They are now desperate to be done, dreading it but needs must and so worth it in the end.

There was someone on one of these diaries who was asked to isolate until a date that had already passed, so it could be something similar

My dh was asked to isolate until 28th December on 1 st January- 3 days after the event had finished 🙄😂 We know that was because he’d been in contact with his sister....she is still poorly but has not needed to go into hospital. But we have no idea where he has been in contact with somebody else....could have been anywhere I suppose.
Dh is currently on zoom with his U3A group and as soon as he’s finished we will empty a bit more of the bedroom - goodness knows where it’ll all go 😳 All I can hope is that less will be going back into the room than came out 😂😂😂
We had a zoom with the gks yesterday. I’d bought them a dress and a little craft kit for part of their Christmas present and ds had bought some books as part of his to them. So we sent them so they could be wearing them and getting some use of them during lockdown....they might have outgrown them by the time I actually get to see them. I assured them there’s still presents for when we have our extra Christmas get together😂😂 They were delighted with them. Eldest gd always has her nose in a book. She has read all the books in the house....and there are plenty....in usual times they visit the library every week so dd can’t keep up with her thirst for reading atm. No books from school and no library. So she was thrilled with the books and spent the entire call reading in her new dress 😂😂😂 whereas the little one chatted non stop 😂😂😂
