I wasn’t too impressed with the zoom myself Beanie. I’m going to give it another go. They’ve also set a WhatsApp page for that group which I’ve been added to. That is quite nice as it’s more chatting about life and the things folk are doing. The worrying thing is the amount of time I’m spending in front of a screen....I might need to do something about cutting my screen time down.January spends - £587.581

I wasn’t keen on WW Zoom either. Tried it a couple of times, not for me☹️ I bet you’re pleased with the 10lbs 😆I get knocked down but I get up again (Chumbawamba, Tubthumping)1

Welcome Abba - I bet you slept well after reading all that. Yes life has thrown some curveballs my way but it is what it is and as Beanie would say .....keeeeeep plodding.
I took a leg of lamb out of the freezer and dh boned it. He used half to make a curry for the freezer. I was in the living room and my eyes were watering with the onions and spices he was using in the kitchen......a rogan Josh.....I think I’m being adventurous with a korma 😂 I made a roast dinner with the other half and it was rather delicious - a couple of syns for the gravy. Relative in our bubble came around....I’m so pleased with my downstairs loo 😄😄 it makes it so easy 😃😃 I attempted a Black Forest gateaux but the cream wouldn’t whip thick enough - I’ve used it before elmlea half fat double cream....and had no problem....it took about 15 minutes with an electric whisk. It was thickish but not enough to take a lid of a cake on it. Anyway we had a deconstructed gateaux instead. The cake was a bit well done but it was lovely all the same. A weekend treat at 15 syns 👍
We went for a walk to the same place we went yesterday. I’m so stiff now I can barely move.
We have 2 swivel chairs near the patio doors. The kids clubbed together to buy it for us 15 years ago when we had the extension done. They are from IKE@. The front of the chairs is black leather but the back and sides, a cotton material which has faded badly. I’ve looked online at a paint on dye....but I’m a bit wary.....who knows what damage I could do splashing black dye everywhere😳😳😳....a few years ago I covered my dining chairs with an orangey material. I have enough left to cover the backs and side panels of the chairs but I’ve never done anything like that before and I’m not sure what they’ll look like. I ordered some curved sewing needles Friday and they arrived Saturday....if I do it it will make the job a bit easier......I like a challenge 😂😂......mmmmm decisions, decisions. We’ve talked about getting new chairs but they fit the area well and are comfortable and I’m quite sentimentally attached to them ❤️ I think I’ll make a template and cut material out and tape it into place to see if we like it or not.January spends - £587.583 -
Mr SA loves lamb shank in the slow cooker a la kleftico. The dog always has the bone.Worth a try with the chairs at least.I get knocked down but I get up again (Chumbawamba, Tubthumping)2

Interesting about the dyed chairs......I’m wondering whether to wait until the weather is better and try the dye....just don’t know. Because the chairs face the doors we see the back and side of them rather than the front so they don’t look good at all.....
I’ve just turned the tv off as they were talking about speculated changes in the lockdown rules. Why do they say these things when it’s not fact.....it’s sheer speculation and scare mongering. It just upsets people 😡😡 I usually quite like This Morning but not anymore.....
I’m so tired after yesterday. I cooked a meal but sat down at my new table preparing everything and went for a walk. I was in bed at 9 o’clock and slept until eight this morning when dh brought me a cuppa. I didn’t get out of bed until 10.....getting fed up of this. I could sleep for England 😳

It’s a horrible time at the minute but I do agree there’s a lot of scaremongering going on and it does get to you I keep trying just to watch the 6 o’clock local news and that’s it3

Yes was lovely to chat SG2. I went for a walk too. Drowned rat comes to mind....We’d done a big shop last week so I didn’t need to keep going out.....I forgot to get extra milk though so nipped to Morrison’s to get some. I walked there the scenic route and home the quick route. I couldn’t carry much else but felt good to get out. 7000 steps 😄 I was pleased as I was on my own but it wasn’t icy at all 😄
It was a couple of guests on This Morning or Good Morningrather than the news.....the one with Philip Schofield. They were discussing where the lockdown might go next.....pure speculation. No mention of it on the actual news 😡January spends - £587.581
