Instead of using a bag to carry your shopping, would a small rucksack work better?

Yes Lucille, thanks for the reminder, I actually used to have a rucksack for when I’ve been recovering before, still can’t carry much in my bad arm either. It’s somewhere in the spare bedroom where everything went before the builders came, must dig it out.January spends - £587.582

Exactly ES. Pure speculation 😡😡 I was concerned by it but put my sensible head on and reasoned it out....but there’s a lot of folk out there living alone that’ll be very worried about it 😡😡
I’ve ordered some black material ....I wasn’t convinced about the orange I had in...to revamp my chairs....I’m not sure if it’ll be strong enough as it’s only poly cotton. But I don’t think I’ll be able to stitch through anything heavier. I suppose the chairs really need the covers taking off and completely recovering....but I wouldn’t have a clue where to begin. So I’ll sew it over what’s already there - that’s if all goes to plan. If it doesn’t work dh has lost £6....material should arrive on Friday.
Not much planned today. I might begin to move some items from the back bedroom. I’ve been threatening it for a long time but it’s such a big job I keep putting it off.😱😱 First I need to get out of bed though 😳😳 I was in bed at 9 again last night - really tired again.
Tea tonight is the last of the roast lamb, mixed with cous cous, onions and mushrooms and Persian spices and stuffed in peppers topped with cheese and pomegranate seeds. My own concoction so not sure what it’ll be like🤔😋January spends - £587.581 -
It was a beautiful sunny day so I went out for a walk by myself. It was lovely....I watched a kingfisher darting across the little lake in a nearby parkland, it went back and forth looking for food - it was so peaceful just listening to the birds with a blue sky.(providing you zoned the hum from the motorway out of your mind) There weren’t as many people around as I expected. I didn’t walk around the parkland or lake - there are numerous paths around but I wasn’t sure how far I could do on my own. I literally walked there along the main path to the pond and back. I bought a coffee from a takeaway cafe...there wasn’t anyone else there and I cleaned the outside of my cup with a wipe before I touched it.....I was totally done in by the time I got home...so I watched an episode of Pemberton whilst I revived. I wasn’t sure if I fancied it but I quite enjoyed it.Then I’ve sat in the kitchen chopping veg for the cous cous for tea. It’ll be another early night I think as I could just go to sleep again.January spends - £587.581

Sounds lovely nice to get a bit of fresh air pleased you enjoyed your walk2

The walk actually did me a power of good. It really boosted my confidence. I was out just over an hour so you can tell it isn’t very far as my rush instinct doesn’t exist anymore. A bit of sunshine does wonders 🌞 to boost the spirits. I actually got quite emotional, I was thinking back to September when I didn’t think I’d be getting out of hospital. I had virtually given up fighting to get better after some very rough days....I hadn’t slept at all during most of my time in there. Then one morning there was the most amazing sunrise. I could see the hills in the distance from my bed with this beautiful orange/pink sky around them. It was that moment I got my fight back and knew I wanted and needed to get better. This was followed my the 2 most amazing funny nurses coming on. They were like a comedy double act but also very professional. They had me smiling again. So my walk in the sunshine, listening to birds on my own made me realise just how lucky I was.☀️🌳🐿🐦January spends - £587.584

OBL it was very fast....but you kept getting a flash of the gorgeous colours on his wings as the sun caught it. I’ve seen them dive in the water there before but not yesterday. Considering we’re in a city we do quite well for wildlife.
Another early night last. I don’t know what’s got into me I’m sleeping the clock round.
A NSD planned as I’m not going out for a walk unless the weather perks up and I don’t need anything from the shops. It’s icy, grey and damp.
Think it might just be a let’s see what happens kind of day...not that I’m expecting anything exciting.....I’m just finishing my cuppa and will do a bit of bedroom emptying until I need a rest then watch a bit of tv and knitting.
Tea is salmon, new potatoes and veg so that won’t take long to do.
Happy Wednesday everyone 🤞👍January spends - £587.581
