So I need to sort my eating and lifestyle habits out a bit. GP has requested a weeks worth of BP readings.....I hover around needing meds to bring it down. I usually have de caff tea and coffee but with all the work going on when I ran out I just used ordinary stuff. I do find it makes a difference. I’m doing very little exercise and my weight has gone up. When I was at the hospital the other day the nurse said it was sky high and queried whether the doc would actually do the injection...he said it was because I was anxious. I need to sort myself as I don’t want to go on meds. I might try and delay sending them in for a while.....

Forgot to say brother has had pneumonia and they’ve found e-coli in his blood samples. They’re doing various checks on his heart today hoping there’s no damage to the valve he had surgery on a couple of years ago. If not he might be able to go home in the next day or so 🤞👍

They were forever finding e-coli in Mr SA when he was undergoing chemo. Fingers crossed that your brother gets to go home and all is well 🤞

I’m not surprised your BP is high after all you’ve been through just lately with the op, work stress, building works and the inheritance. Might be better to reassess it after Christmas.

  • Glad to hear they have finally found what's up with your brother , hopefully things will start to improve for him now.

I was thinking exactly the same, I think I will leave it until after Christmas to do the BP readings. I might start recording my food, exercise and BP now for my own use and send them to GP after Christmas 👍

Feels like 1 step forward 10 steps back but I know it’s not. Dh has been for new dresser. It’s still in boxes in the dining room. He borrowed works van to get it and dropped the old sideboard off at the charity shop 👍I’ve brought most of the things for the kitchen downstairs now, put them through the dishwasher and they are now all over the kitchen worktops. I need to decide where they’re going. Dh put the decorations in the garden 🎄😀🎄 whilst it wasn’t raining.
I noticed how dusty my ornaments in the hall were....not surprisingly 😳 so I’ve washed them....some went through the dishwasher which makes life very easy 😀👍.....this led to a joint effort of washing paintwork down in the hall and taking curtains down to wash. I used my iron for the first time since I broke my arm a couple of years ago - they were only 2 small curtains so nothing too strenuous. We have both had enough now though so everything is staying just where it is until tomorrow. When dh will take the light shades down to wash in the daylight. The spring clean of the hall and landing wasn’t planned but I’m glad we’ve tackled it. Dh can assemble the dresser and I’ll have a go at the Christmas tree and try deciding just where kitchen things are going. Anything left in the bedroom can stay there until after Christmas or be sorted a little at a time when the mood takes. I’m hoping to get the bedrooms decorated after Christmas. It must be over 20 years since the spare rooms were touched 🤫😳
Its still frustrating me  the amount of times I have to stop to rest....but all things considered I’m doing ok.
Dd was saying youngest gdds bubble in nursery has been told to isolate so she is keeping elder one off school too. School sent a letter explaining they weren’t allowed to close but would understand those wishing to keep the children off next week. The isolation finishes just before  Christmas so fingers crossed 🤞we get there. I’ve got an emergency turkey just in case but I’m hoping we won’t need it.
