I’ve driven my car for the first time since September today. Only a 10 minute journey into town. I had a little mooch, put my cards in the post went to the building society and since I’d parked in Tesc@ went in and I bought a few bits. It’s surprising how many muscles changing gear takes. I’m tired now and achey around my middle, so chilling a bit. I’ve got a lot of stuff to sort out but that can wait until tomorrow 👍

I had an early night last night but used a different fabric conditioner on my bedding.....I’d washed them yesterday. It was quite a pleasant smell - lavender (dh purchased it when Aldi didn’t have my usual one) I just couldn’t get to sleep......it’s all I could smell. How can a smell stop you sleeping....if that’s what it was that stopped me. I was overtired too so I suppose that didn’t help.
I'm having my hair cut in a while at neighbours across the road and waiting for painter friend to come in to finish off. Then I can crack on sorting things out again....I’d had to stop as we had to move things again because of painting. I keep saying the end is in sight then it moves again.
It’s littlest gdd 4th birthday today...just watched her open her presents. She was thrilled with ‘grown up things’ 😂😂😂😂 She often looks on with envy at big sisters stuff 😂 especially Lego.

Sorry it was late SG2 but I forgot to buy stamps 🙄
Today has been more sorting out and shuffling things around after the painter had finished. The sun was shining so we went for a walk to some rock gardens a 10 minute drive away and a short walk along the nearby river. Twas very muddy and it clouded over and rained on us. It was lovely to get out though. There is a little outdoor cafe in the park by the rock gardens and it was doing an absolutely roaring trade. One of the winners in these strange tier 3 days.....so many hospitality businesses aren’t so lucky. I can’t believe we have stayed in Tier 3 as my area I’d below the National average. I have to admit it won’t make that much difference to me....all I’m interested in is getting to see my dd and gdds......

I’ve sorted the bedroom today. The wardrobes desperately need a good sort out and lots of clothes I can’t wear anymore need to make their way to the charity shop....but I couldn’t face that today so I shut the doors very quickly and concentrated on the rest of the room. It’s acquired all sorts that don’t belong in here since we’ve been using it as a living room whilst downstairs was out of action.  I’m soaking the blinds in a bleach solution  in the bath as they are quite disgusting and mouldy. I’m not convinced I can save them😳😳😳 We had a slight leak in the bay which was neglected for a long time......it has been repaired outside but still needs the plaster inside looking at. My curtains which were new 18 months ago are also looking a tad grotty near the hem - anyone any idea how to get mould stains out of curtains....I can’t bleach them. I vaguely remember something about lemon juice....but not sure what for.
I’ve just attended a virtual candle vigil for my friend who passed away in Scotland. It was lovely yet surreal all at the same time. She was a truly remarkable lady.....awarded the MBE and doctorate for her services to the charity she founded many years ago.....yet so down to earth.....there are many families very grateful to her....including mine 😢❤️
I’m down to the last couple of boxes that need sorting from the kitchen and I’m not sure where to put them....cake tins etc. I think the big tins can go to the charity shop....I’ve got 12 inch right down to 6 inch round and square ones.  I’ll keep the smaller sizes but honestly can’t see me needing big wedding cake tins again. I don’t think my arm is up to piping lots of icing on wedding cakes anymore. Saying that I’ve made a couple of small Christmas cakes- one for dh boss and one to take to dds. We’ll ice them over the weekend, joint effort between myself and dh.
    I’ve been in bed since half 8. Tired.com....again 😏
