The candle vigil for your friend is a lovely tribute, sounds like she’ll be sorely missed.

Could you try Ace on your curtains, there’s one for coloured items, I used it on my roller blind in the bathroom when it had a bit of mould round the bottom.

  • I'm sorry about your friend Milann but the candlelit vigil sounds a lovely tribute to her. I hope you can get the mould out of your curtains.

Thanks for the tip about Ace. I’ve never heard of it so will investigate.
To say I’m gutted after the announcements yesterday is an understatement......I’ve just had gdd on the phone breaking her heart crying that she won’t see us. All their Christmas presents are here and I’m reluctant to post them now as I don’t think they’d get there. I ordered something extra each for the children from Amazon to go to them for Tuesday, last night when I’d heard the news,  then we’re going to have a 2nd Christmas once we can get together again.  Dd has food for all of my us arriving tomorrow- too late to change the order. They’ll be eating it forever. Just gutted.....I’d half expected something like this happening but midweek when Boris said it would be cruel to cancel Christmas- I let myself believe we’d be ok......but dd has said it’s rife near them and she was getting a bit worried about us catching it...so it’s better safe than sorry I suppose. Still gutted 😢😢

There’s going to be a lot of very disappointed people this Christmas ☹️ We should’ve known it was too good to be true. I’m annoyed because we were only seeing DS and family on Christmas Eve, no one else at all over the festive period, and now that’s been scuppered 😩

  • I am so sorry you won't get to see the GKs and family . Let's hope you can meet up in the New year .

So today I cleaned my suite with leather cream, I iced 2 very small Christmas cakes with a simple wreath and made mince pies for dh to take into work tomorrow. I’m shattered again now but needed to keep myself busy. I’m still totally gutted....I ended up doing a virtual tour of the house with gdd. She was worried that her toys had gone because she hadn’t been able to come for such a long time....bless. The things that worry them. I think it’s because I told her the bedroom was full of things from the kitchen when we were having all the work done on the kitchen......
