Very sorry to read of repeat major operation - hope you have a swift recovery and get out of hospital very quickly. It must make for a long day. Do you have an I Pad at all? Maybe your OH could download some stuff to watch that you enjoy to make the time pass more quickly. I know when I have been really unwell I haven't been able to concentrate to read but maybe a magazine? Hope to hear soon you are back home recovering in peace .
  • Good good to hear from you Milan,I hope you have a speedy recovery, how rubbish not having a tv,the hospital i work at  has a TV by every bed, I hope you get to go home soon

I kept wondering how you were doing so thank you for the update. Sorry to hear you needed major surgery again. Hopefully you’re on the road to recovery now and will be home soon. What a pain no visitors and no TV.

    Get well soon xx 💐

I’m presuming it’s because of the touching of payment machines for the tv and extra staff on the wards who maintain them  passing the virus on by touch. ‘‘Tis pretty dire. Although a lovely nurse arranged for dh and myself to ‘meet for 5 minutes’ in the foyer of the ward as he dropped something off for me at weekend. He needed it more than me.....they’ve all been so worried. Especially as I’ve put them through similar before. But this op won’t be reversed like last time......I never had anything but trouble once I’d had the procedure reversed.
I've felt much better today but had some grim days when I thought my days were numbered - but I’ve come this far. The biggest difference to me is I’m not worried about money this time . I’ve no debts and will manage on whatever I get. Last time I was more worried about money than getting better.

Those pay TVs in hospitals are a rip-off anyway. Could you listen to the radio, podcasts or audio books on your phone to pass the time. I'm glad you're feeling better, it sounds like you've had a horrendous time of it so hopefully it's all done with now. It's brilliant that you don't have the added financial worry this time around and can concentrate on your health and getting back on your feet.

Thanks for the well wishes. I’m hoping to keep pushing myself and be home in a couple of days. It’ll be another long road to recovery but first step - get home 😀
