I haven’t been out of the house today. I’ve spent the day doing some research and making resources for work. The I did an English session with my eldest gd and finished off reading them both lots of stories. I think we all enjoyed it.
😱😀Looking at myself on the screen though shows up every wrinkle, crinkle and laughter line......not to mention several chins🤪🤪😱 They say the camera never lies.....
I’m really pleased that I’ve lost 4 lb so far during the lockdown. I want to continue to do this....not going out for meals and a feeling I need to conserve what I have in instead of pigging out has helped me stay focussed 😀 and I’ve still enjoyed lots of nice food and some treats -  long may it continue - not the lockdown but my determination 👍

Great news on the new washing machine arriving on Monday!  About time too!  Also agree that your visits to help your relative is essential.

I don't think there's that many people who think they look good via a screen. In the newspaper the other day there was a whole article about how to look good when on a Zoom conference. And how to make your dog look good too!  I wouldn't have thought dogs were that vain!🤣. They're more worried about where their next mouthful is coming from!

Well done with on the 4lb weight loss!👏. I'm weighing in tomorrow but it's not looking good....☹️

I ventured to the shops today as I was virtually out of milk and rice. I spent a fortune - over £80 but it’ll keep me going a good while. They had the big bags of Basmati rice - I usually get these a couple of times a year - but haven’t seen them for ages 😀, I bought gks some LOL pjs for Easter, got lots of reduced items - grapes 40p, Satsumas in baskets 50p, a cooked chicken £2.50, olives and sun dried tomatoes 18p each, big bag of salad 18p.....I was proper chuffed 👍😀 When I came home and took the satsumas out of the baskets I had the idea to make them into Easter baskets for the gks. They look lovely - a pack of mini eggs, pjs, a tiny notebook and multi- coloured pen, and some of the fluffy Easter chicks - hopefully won’t cost too much to post. I’ll make an Easter card tomorrow and get them in the post after my washing machine comes on Monday.
I’ve been knitting again today and finished both the backs of the cardigans - sleeves next. I was a tad disappointed the sunshine didn’t make the appearance I’d expected - maybe tomorrow ☀️

Glad you got enough to keep you going. I’m the only one who eats rice in our house and I usually buy the microwave pouches as they are ideal for me to eat half and freeze the rest. They seem to be plentiful so not gone short.

Tomorrow is meant to be the best day, fingers crossed 🤞

You are as bad as me buying pjs for Easter, colouring books and lots of craft stuff. Can't wait until we can shop together for the GKs . Your shopping trip was very fruitful. Is DH at home now or still working ?

Well done on the shopping milann.  Your GKs will love their Easter presents. My DSis said that my little nephew nagged her to get the Easter deccies out and up - she thought it would be a good thing to do as he could help and it would keep him occupied - however she said she ended up doing it all herself as he got sucked into watching a film....😀..

Dh is at home most of the time now but popping into the shop where he works occasionally (which is  now closed) - but they do computer repairs and services. His boss phoned and he went to the shop to work on a computer on Friday - he was in there on his own. He was a torn about going in but since he was on his own working said he’d do his bit.
Another lazy morning but I am popping in on relative later to do some bits of cleaning. Feels quite nice not having to take my washing with me....I’ll survive until tomorrow evening and can wash to my hearts content......I hope.
