We did it over WhatsApp - not sure what it called but their video streaming service. We seem to get a better reception between us on there.January spends - £587.583

Not a lot going on today - still no word from whirlpool....more reading policies for work and more agro sending emails back to work.SW are setting up virtual groups and a new group FB page for £2.50 a week. I’m using what’s left of my countdown to access it but I don’t want the virtual group - I really can’t cope with anymore new technology that will probably go wrong on me. But my £2.50 will give me access to the websites and I can keep in touch with my friends via FB. I’ve lost 3lb since my last weigh in and help support the lady who runs it. I’m hoping by the time group re starts I’ll have made some good progress. I’m finding I’m not interested in snacking though.....I feel I need to conserve the food I have as we don’t know what’s around the corner. In that vein of thought I’m going to plant some salad stuff in pots....just in case the price goes up or we can’t get much in months to come....January spends - £587.583

Me too with eating, trying to conserve supplies just in case. Don’t ask about wine consumption though 🤣 Don’t even want to think about the fallout going forward 😱I get knocked down but I get up again (Chumbawamba, Tubthumping)2

I do hope DS is coping well in these strange days. What a pain about the washing machine - as SA said that make was so reliable - I had one when I first got married and it lasted for years. I hope you get it sorted out - it all sounds like a French farce!😡
Well done on your weight loss - I'm trying to keep to a reasonable diet whilst I'm stuck in most of the time. When we come out of the other side from all this I think a lot of people will be looking at their food. I've started having my porridge with half Oatly milk and half water instead of whole milk to conserve supply. I'm quite happy with it and will continue. Saves some pennies as well!😁

Certainly strange times which I suspect will get stranger before they get back to any sort of normality.
Not much to report I haven’t spent a penny and not been out. I’ve fallen into having lazy mornings with a long lie in, a bit of tidying over the weekend then knitting and watching a film in the afternoon.I’ve chatted to my friend (her hubby had the stroke last year) as I expected she is very upset of the thought of him without visitors for goodness knows how long. She is in her 70s and has health problems too but there’s nothing I can do to help other than ring her - I think that is the worse part of it all.....feeling helpless to it all. All we can do is stay in I suppose.
Well tomorrow will see what problems the computer throws my way as I attempt to work from home.....I think I need to do a computer course 😱
I’m trying to cut my time using the iPad etc.....it’s far too easy to just play silly games all day long😳 I can see how people get addicted.January spends - £587.584 -
I think families being separated is one of the worst things about this
. What are school making you do on the computer?
I'm glad you're enjoying lazy days, I need to get into a more relaxed mindset but I feel a bit twitchy. Finally Debt Free After 34 Years, But Still Need to Live Frugally

HHD - they have been sending policy documents and various curriculum papers which we have to read and evaluate and say how they impact on our work - my computer is old and I’ve never had a decent programme for writing - I only really use it for my banking. I’m pleased dh has been here to be my technical assistant 🤪 We have to make resources if we are able to - I can’t print out as my printer has fallen out with the rest of the technology in the house and won’t talk to them....but I’m doing what I can old style. I’m jotting my idea down too....in reality I’ve no idea when I’ll be back or who I’ll be working with - I envisage making a lot of resources which might never be used.....SSG - I’ve realised how extravagant I’ve become with my meals. I’ve cut right back and made portions smaller rather than eating because it’s there.
SA - I don’t want to look forward either - a day at a time for sure......January spends - £587.583 -
I'm so sorry to hear the news about your friend and her husband. It's heartbreaking. 😞 I'm sure though your chats on the phone are comforting for her - it's times like these we're so thankful for good friends. Finally Debt Free! - July 2016 🌟

I went to Ald! this morning - I was lucky and timed it just right - walked straight in. I cleaned my trolly handle with an antibacterial cloth I found at the back of a cupboard ( I won it in a cleaning hamper years ago) I got everything I wanted except paracetamol and flour. I spent £14. As I came out they were queuing outside. They had it well organised with security on the door, markers on the floor for queuing and screens to protect everyone at the tills. I was pleased to see Ald! are looking after their staff and giving them a bonus (if you can believe some of the news you read online)January spends - £587.583

Ooh nearly forgot - we’ve had an e mail from Whirlpool acknowledging that our machine is indeed affected and will be in touch to sort a replacement.......watch this space 👍👍January spends - £587.583
