I had a walk this afternoon to what used to be our local shopping street before the supermarkets took over - a 20 minute walk away. There are a lot of empty shops and £1style junky shops now... I called in them all and got some paracetamol in the last shop. I’d taken 2 to the counter but the man said only 1 - I told them why I wanted them and he let me have both packets. I’ll definitely go back in there. I used to do all my shopping  along this street when we first moved here - about 5 independent butchers, at least 3 greengrocers and any combination of shop you could think of. There was a busy road running through it - then they pedestrianised it - put the rates up - stopped street parking and made a pay carpark....1 by 1 the shops shut and the gangs of kids moved in - so sad to see the decline. The nail in the coffin was the new supermarkets half a mile up the road.
    Today’s positive thoughts
    - A walk in the sunshine along memory lane.....to the shops I used to visit when my children were babies
    - Kind shopkeeper letting me have 2 packs of paracetamol
    - catch up with my neighbour as she cut my hair
    - lost 1 lb when I weighed myself

My SW consultant is running a virtual weigh in - she is a real technophobe but attempting a live chat - it’s quite funny and uplifting - makes me look good with technology 😳😂 Those who want to are posting weigh loss but there’s no pressure to do it. It has inspired me - but I think what’s inspired me more is the thought that I want to be as close to target as I can before/if groups get back to having proper meetings. Then I won’t have to pay much. Some things I can’t control but I can control what I chose to eat......not that I’m a control freak or anything 😂😂😂😂

You are allowed to Beanie. Orange smarties are compulsory to cheer you up as you’re stressed and tired. I’ve succumbed to buttered toast and jam this afternoon and will be having chocolate 🍫 in a while 🍷👍

Result for reduced smarties 👍👍 I can visualise Beanie in her super hero costume knocking the conservatory door down, getting on the Beaniemobile to your neck of the woods, challenging anyone in the way of reduced orange smarties- toilet roll wars would have nothing on Beanie in search of smarties 😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂
I feel strangely calm and looking forward to being able to be at home.....I feel I should feel more stressed.....but it is what it is and all we can do is keep each other safe.....I’m very thankful to all the folk out there looking after us in lots of different ways.👏👏👏👏
