Went out of for a walk today - we walked to an old bleachwork’s reservoir which has been landscaped and is quite pretty - it’s used for fishing in usual times and is right next to a lovely little park which is usually full of little ones having fun. It’s quite a popular little place. There were quite a few dog walkers out today but everyone managed to keep their distance. It was sad to see the playground and a skateboarding track (which was opened last year) all locked up. I managed 7000 steps - most I’ve done for a while. It was quite nice and good to get out - not sure what got into me last week.
I’ve had an e-mail from work telling me what needs to be tackled this week. Doesn’t seem too daunting and nothing too boring to do.I’ve been doing some knitting today too. I started cardigans a bit back and lost momentum - gdd had requested a turquoise cardigan, It’s quite an easy pattern with a nice cable. I’m doing 1 each for them so I do both the backs then both the arms etc ....that way I need to finish them both and I don’t give up after completing the first. Dh cooked tea. We’re falling into quite a nice routine.
I’m quite pleased we hadn’t done anything about the kitchen/ toilet alterations we want to do, as we could easily have ended up with it half done and the builders having to call it off half way through 😱doesn’t bear thinking about. We know what needs doing now though so as soon as the world is back to normal I’ll be onto the builder.
I’m hoping Whirlpool get a move on as I’m worried about stricter restrictions on movement happening. Luckily I’ve been taking my washing to a family member as I’m visiting about once a week to do some jobs they can’t manage for himself - it’s better than a carer going in - not that they’d contemplate that. I know I’ve not been out much at all - whereas a carer could have visited a lot of people. I class it an essential journey to care for a vulnerable person.January spends - £587.583 -
Sounding more positive and you’re settling into a new temporary routine. We all need to remember this situation is only temporary. I think you’re allowed to visit vulnerable people to assist them.I get knocked down but I get up again (Chumbawamba, Tubthumping)3

I’m getting a new washing machine on Monday 👍😀😀
I went to do a bit of shopping for a neighbour and a relative. The queue was around the shop at Aldi so I drove over to Mr M which is across the road. I walked straight in - very well organised with anti bac cloths for trolleys, There are 2 entrances usually but they had an in and out door. I got what I needed including paracetamol. There were still a few empty shelves but a lot better than a couple of weeks ago when I was last in there. I delivered shopping, did some jobs the relative is still struggling to do and washed my clothes in their machine. We managed to keep our distance too......I feel much happier knowing I’ve done some jobs 👍 I considered it an essential journey 👍January spends - £587.585 -
