Sorry I didn't get on here before today to say how pleased I am that it's 'only'(!) a hip fracture. I checked offline on my phone the same day though, so I wasn't worried about you. Funny how we get so involved in other people's lives yet we wouldn't know if we passed them on the street!
A re-model is definitely worth thinking about as forward planning, but if it means the only access to the kitchen is via two other rooms might you be solving one problem but introducing another? The under-stairs suggestion sounds like a good one but of course it won't work everywhere. Anyway, plenty of time to think about it :)

  • I am sure Milann won't mind me saying that she is having technical difficulties getting back on the new forum and hopes to sort it out this week.
Life is an adventure, never stop exploring.

  • Thanks Sunshine :). Hopefully you'll be able to get back on the forum soon Milann. I hope you're enjoying half term.

At last - the technophobe has managed to get back to her diary.🤪🤪 I’ve missed it soooo much. I’ve read some diaries whilst I’ve not been able to post but need a big catch up. I eventually had time to sit down and I found the e-mail in my junk folder. Technology has not been my friend of late and I’ve had gremlins in my SW account too.
i can’t believe we are already on Thursday of half term - where has it gone. I’ve been down to my ds house most days - he is on the mend but still got a way to go. The next couple of weeks should make a big difference - but he is amazing and my inspiration.

I went for the second MRI scan on Monday and go for the results on 3rd March so not long to wait....it’s improved a fair bit but is now just an annoying ache which is there most of the time. But I haven’t been very active of late.

I’ve been giving myself headaches trying to make my kitchen into a tardis - I want to split it in 2 to include a downstairs loo !!!!!! utility room.....I definitely need to move in with Dr Who - move over Mr Milann 🤪
MSE wise - things are ticking over nicely - I’d intended opening a savings account but have decided to wait until we’ve had whatever work we end up having done in the kitchen has been completed.
Thanks for updating folk in Sunshine Girl 2 - feels good to be back 👍

I’ve had a bit of a mooch around some diaries and one new feature I really like is it takes you to the last post you looked at. I seemed to spend a fair while scrolling through to see where I was uptown the past. I couldn’t find the df pages  though, so I’ll mooch some more.

I’ve had a really down in the dumps sort of day. I need to sort myself out. Think the events of the last few months/years have caught up with me....here I am back on line and I’m moaning - bet nobody’s missed that 😳😂

You are not moaning. You are just saying it as it is.

  • It's great to have you back Milann :). You're not moaning, just saying it like it is. We all get days like that. I hope you feel more cheerful tomorrow and that scan date will soon come around.

Thank you both. If I stopped and thought how much I’ve coped with I suppose I should be feeling proud and not as I did yesterday....it is what it is as you say and I’ll bounce back up like I usually do 🤞👍

Just nipping around to the doctors to chase a prescription up which should have arrived at my chosen chemist but hasn’t 😡 I’ve had nothing but trouble with the electronic system - I’m going to go back to physically going into the surgery and taking it to a chemist myself. I’ve tried several chemists so wondering if the fault is with the gp surgery which is either fantastic or fantastically rubbish - with nothing between.

We are going out for dinner with ds. Not sure where to - local to him somewhere. Or maybe big shopping mall not far away which is lovely and smooth rather than him having to negotiate steps and uneven pavements atm.

I want to buy some old fashioned graph paper if they still make such a thing to map out my kitchen and actually cut out appliances and units to see what might be possible before we get the builder and kitchen fitter in to improve on our ideas.

My bug bear with the new site is I have to insert my own capital letters which I’m sure I didn’t on the last site........or maybe I did 🤔
