Great to see you back in action :)  You should be really proud of yourself after everything that's been going on but it's normal to sometimes feel down and overthink things. You will bounce back and be all the stronger for it.  Glad to hear your DS is improving.

I went to docs and the prescription wasn’t there so the receptionist has requested an urgent one for me - which would have been ready after 5 but since I was out, it will have to wait until Monday. I called into my local Ald! on my way home ( I used their carpark as I went to docs) and bumped into my cousin and her husband. My cousin is a lot older than me - I’m actually closer in age to her children and spent many a weekend at her house when I was growing up. I haven’t seen her for years. I was actually quite shocked how much she’s aged but when I thought about it she must easily be mid 70s 😳 I’ve promised to ring her over the weekend and keep in touch. It cheered me up no end 🙂
I  had a lovely time at shopping mall - a dinner time special which was lovely - ds treated us. It’s good to see him beginning to do little bits again - still a way to go but all going in the right direction. We nipped in M&S to use their lift as it doesn’t get as crowded as the ones in the mall and I spotted an assortment of fancy cheese reduced to 75p  - I do love a bargain - where’s martins emoji when you need it......

Just been to SW lost 1/2lb which is better than I’d expected as I’ve been comfort eating and not much exercise. So that’s 3 small losses of 1/2 in a row which is better than 3 gains 🙂 getting my mojo back 🤞👍

  • I'm so pleased to see you back as well milann and it's wonderful that your son has recovered so well too. 😀.

Not too long before you get your scan results - bet you can't wait. Well done as well on the weight loss!😇

It’s good to see my virtual friends again. I hadn’t realised quite how much I needed this diary to keep me motivated. Thanks everyone.
I have relaxed a bit about the scan results as the last one virtually ruled out anything sinister. It’s to see if I’ve had a fracture in the head of my femur - a stress fracture would fit in with the symptoms and the way it is improving. There’s not much they can do if it is...just use it without overusing it. And he’s offered a steroid injection once he’s 100% sure there’s nothing else happening in there. It will be good to get it over with though.
We actually got out for a short walk today between showers to a local water park - the river was pretty high, the lake was the highest I’ve ever seen it too. All the fields were flooded but they open flood gates from the river into the fields. The path around the lake was ok though. There were a lot of folk about and it was a tad wild and windy but good to get out and blow the cobwebs off.
i can’t believe half term is nearly at an end - I don’t know where it’s gone.....roll on 5 years 4 months until I retire.

I hear that re. retirement!  I can't wait either!  When I knocked off work for my holiday last week I could have jumped for joy!  I never used to feel that bad!

Sounds very wet still around your neck of the woods. We are very lucky- it's never that bad where I live when torrential rains hit. Though I live on top of a hill and it's quite vertical down to the estuary!   My DD has just heard from her OH though who is in the west coast Highlands of Scotland at the moment and he said the weather is absolutely biblical!😱

SSG I really feel as if I’m wishing my life away - I do enjoy my work but finding it harder and harder to want to go in - once I’m there it’s actually ok. I could happily have stayed off work for good after my 6 months off with my arm. I got used to being at home and had a good routine going. Basically I think I just want to be at home to be there for my family and feel very cheated as that’s exactly what I’d have been able to do a few years ago.
I think we’ve finally decided what needs doing to my kitchen to make a downstairs loo. It’ll alter the flow of the house and we’ll have to walk through the living room to get into the kitchen which isn’t ideal but it’s cheaper than moving to a bungalow and the kitchen will be a lot smaller but there’s a lot of wasted space in our kitchen atm. All the 3 bedroom bungalows which are pretty rare around these parts are at least £500,000 and then we’d still have to alter the bathroom to make it wheelchair accessible- we’d be 300 grand short even after selling our house 😳😱  monologue money 😂😂 and there’s no way I’d contemplate even trying to get a mortgage at our age. I think I may have to start buying lottery tickets again as there’s a lovely one by the side of a nearby park but that’s 900,000 - dream on Milann 🤪 We we’re laughing with friends the other day - our first little terrace house was just over £8,000 and it seemed like the biggest debt ever.....we paid just over £23,000 when we moved in here....again seemed like a mashoosive amount. I’m just glad I’m not starting now. My wages were £23 a week though when we applied for our 1st mortgage - and the mortgage company wouldn’t take it into account as I was a woman who might end up having to stop working if I became pregnant.....imagine the uproar if that was today 😂😂😂 how times have changed.
