Good to hear from you and that you're staying positive. Hope the relative continues to make progress, at least they're out of hospital.
I don't know if it's the same case with you but when Mr SA has his brain scans and doesn't get the results for 2 weeks, his consultant says if there was anything wrong he would be contacted straightaway and that if he didn't hear anything to presume it's clear. It looks like your consultant just wants to move your appointment forward for convenience, I'm sure if there was anything to worry about you'd have been called in sooner. It's still a worry though I know.
Take care and stay positive xxI get knocked down but I get up again (Chumbawamba, Tubthumping)0 -
Sorry you're having such a rough time of it.
So if the hospital appointment has been brought forward a day, does that mean it's tomorrow? I've got everything crossed for you, and I'm sure if the scan had shown anything untoward they'd have seen you earlier.LBM Dec 2011. Aimed, but failed, to clear all unsecured debt by Feb 2019. Yes it’s tomorrow I go. I’m 99,9% sure it’s because the consultant wants an early finish rather than waiting around for a 5pm appointment. I’m also hoping whatever has been seen is to do with the bone condition. Had it been a week earlier I’d have been worried but a day is neither here nor there.
We cooked a meal here and all went over to relatives house to eat it with him - and put leftovers in his freezer, he’s moving slightly better today - he’s still got a long way to go though....The gks were really good and very gentle whilst we were there. I was up reading stories before 6 am this morning- it’s quite funny how they always come straight into me - I think it’s since we had eldest when she was a toddler and it’s just what happens at grandmas. It’s a very special time though cuddled up on the sofa, reading stories and eating bowls of dry Cheerios with a glass of milk....our little ritual and something they’ll remember. - I hope. I’ve shoved all the toys back in their room and shut the door - they’re not here again for another few weeks so I’ll sort it all out before then. I need to get rid of some of the babyish stuff and look out for some sylvanian family toys on evil bay, charity shop or somewhere...dd loved hers and only got rid of them a couple of years before she had children. It’s something that both of them will enjoy.
I very nearly signed up to saving in account with Virgin but something stopped me - I just don’t want to commit to regular savings until I’m as sure as I can be I’m not going to have to stay off work again...I might do it tomorrow after I’ve been to the hospital.January spends - £587.580 -

Thank you all for the well wishes and reassurance.
Doh - a bit of a MSE boob when shopping in Mr T the other day - I’ve just remembered I had an £8 voucher if I spent a certain amount - I spent double.....ahh well too late now  considering the week I’ve had I’m amazed that’s the worse I’ve forgotten.January spends - £587.580 -

Consultant is 99% sure I’ve had a fracture in my hip. Wants another MRI scan to see if there’s a difference in callous - which would indicate it healing. I go back in a month so he can’t be too worried about the slim chance that it’s something else. Once he’s completely ruled everything else out he will give me a steroid injection in my hip. I’m relieved but still disappointed I’ve not got a concrete answer. If it is a fracture I’ve no idea when or how I’ve done it - although it could be a stress fracture which can just happen of their own accord.
I could have just about made it into work for the afternoon but I just felt I needed a bit of time to get my head around this last week or so - so I came home instead.....I’m looking after me.....January spends - £587.581 -
Good news then.

Glad it was good news. At least if it is a fracture it's healing. Have you been in pain with it? Good move putting yourself first this afternoon it's been a trying time to say the least. I'm like you with work, I worry about letting them down.I get knocked down but I get up again (Chumbawamba, Tubthumping)1
