When it first played up around October I had a lot of pain in it - I could hardly put my foot on the floor - which coincides with me starting doing bits of exercise again - so could easily be a stress fracture. It’s more uncomfortable now than painful unless I stand a long time or go for a long walk.
I feel pretty bad not going over to see relative tonight but he was insistent I stay at home as he can put his tea in the microwave but I’m going tomorrow whatever he might say.January spends - £587.581 -
So pleased to hear your positive result milann. It's been so worrying for you.
I think you were right to go home and relax and give yourself a bit of me time. I know what you mean though about not going over to relative - I'd be the same- still he sounds ok tonight and of course you can go straight over there tomorrow.
Have a good evening.

I went over yesterday and relative was chopping veg to go with pasta for our tea. He wanted to show me he was ok. It was a lovely surprise but he was completely done in afterwards. I haven’t gone over to see him this evening but will visit again tomorrow.
I’ve been thinking about my kitchen which needs refitting and decorating quite badly. I also want a downstairs loo which is wheelchair accessible as I never want this relative not to be able to visit me. He currently shuffles upstairs which won’t be possible for a while yet. Plus my recent health scares have made me think about future proofing the house for us. If I fit a loo the only place it could go is in the kitchen and it’ll make my kitchen a lot smaller. It is a very thin room....we’d have to move the door from the hall right into a corner - I’m not even sure if it’s possible to have a door right in a corner or I’ve even thought of doing away with the door from the hall to the kitchen but that would mean Walking around the house through the living room and dining room to get into the kitchen - not particularly good flow. I’ve not mentioned any of this to dh yet,,,,he doesn’t like change and messy work and has no imagination......mmmmm.......pondering mode. It’s looking as if some of the inheritance we’ve been expecting these last few years might be released soon which could pay for it....I’ve no idea how much it’d be or if it would be cheaper to just move. But I know I need to do something soon....January spends - £587.582 -

Do you have an under the stairs space that could be used for the loo? I’ve seen this done successfully in a few housesJune 2026, Mortgage free, Emergency fund fully funded & £200/200 cash maximum pb holding .:jWeight 12st challenge 11st 2lb

Glad the relative is managing to do a few bits. Good idea about thinking ahead to the future. Could you get a builder round to have a look and see what would work best. We've got a cupboard under our stairs which would be ideal for a downstairs toilet it's what to do with the stuff we keep in there.I get knocked down but I get up again (Chumbawamba, Tubthumping) -.literally have been run over by a bike, mobility scooter and a car - still here 💪2
