Dd is coming on the train and dh is picking her up at 10.30 so she should be ok. I’m glad we didn’t go to the illuminations as the weather is definitely rubbish....

Just got back from the station after taking my visitors. The house is very quiet and I don’t quite know where to begin tidying it
We had a whale of a time - we went to Lego land, a NT place nearby, a lovely local garden centre which has a train to ride on. We dropped dd at her old school friends and the gks were taken with her 6 week old baby. Dd treated us to a meal out and we had a lovely time cooking/baking together, drawing and doing crafts plus they loved Grandad’s train in the garden. We went o build a bear and they chose a bear for their birthdays as I won’t see them on their birthdays. I’ll post them an outfit to go with the cats they chose on their actual birthdays. So Grandma is totally worn out ;) and watching Corrie on catch-up before I decide where to start......
My hip is pretty much the same - if it carries on I’ll have to go to the doctors but I’m already on anti inflammatory meds so I’m not sure what else they can do. I made a roast dinner yesterday and not quite sure how I managed to stay standing...I wanted to do it myself...but had to give in and let dd and ds help me....
Been chasing my sick not up - you couldn’t make it up:o Phoned physio and told her I hadn’t received a sick note yet, she put me through to profs secretary- she’s on annual leave....spoke to another secretary who said I had to contact GP surgery...(which had already said I needed sick note from the hospital as they were last to issue one) so I went back to GP surgery and spoke to a different receptionist who was lovely - told her the whole story and that I was just going around in circles. She made a note of it and will tell the GP and hopefully issue me one but could take up to a week....that’ll take me until 24th November.
MSE wise I daren’t even look - I’ve spent a fortune - a new z-bed for littlest ggd as she is getting far too big for the travel cot - that was £50:eek: and I’ve spent a fair bit on food and extra treats....but it isn’t often they visit so I don’t mind....need to do some number crunching soon though

I completed some of last weeks targets.
    I managed 1 NSD
Baked a birthday cake with the gks for their mum
I kept on top of the housework pretty well - considering ;)
Not spoiling the gks too much - mmmmm - could be up for debate :rotfl::rotfl:

    This weeks Optimistic October targets.
Look at finances and get back on track
    2 NSDs
Go back to SW - rejoin and make another fresh start
Go to the swimming pool for some exercise at least once - I’m a bit wary due to hip.
Put the fold up beds away and organise bedrooms after visitors
Crack on with finishing cardigans for gks - only got ribs and buttons to do.

I thought long and hard about SlimmingWorld but decided I like the group, I know it works if you actually do it and I need to get some weight off to help my joints and health in general. Rather than paying for the weeks I’ve missed I’m going to rejoin with a clean slate. There’s a free cookery book and 2 weeks free if I buy a 10 week block so I’m going for it.....again.
