Dd has a lovely birthday- I FaceTimed her but it’s not the same as seeing her. I’ll be seeing her the weekend after next though - can’t wait :rotfl:
My targets for last week went ok

    - Use gym membership twice - failed miserably as hip was too sore
    - 3 NSDs :D:D I managed 5 :money:
    - Maintain or loose weight - lost 1 lb :D
    - Reduce screen time :) most days - the night I was on tablet until 11 pm I tossed and turned until 4 am......coincidence or evidence that screens do disturb my sleep????.....
    - Declutter sidebaord - yes inside and on top :D:D
    - De clutter wardrobe - yes :D dh took a couple of bags to the charity shop for me.
    - Blitz bedroom and living room including around my chair - yes :D
It’s taken me a long time to do these things - one time I’d have done the whole of upstairs one day and downstairs the next...but I’m getting there :T

    This week my targets are
    - use gym membership 3 times to make up not going last week
    - maintain or lose weight
    - 2 NSDs
    - Blitz my kitchen - this’ll take me all week:eek:

So I called in GPs this morning to ask about a sick note as physio suggested - what a palaver....so I got back to the physio and she’s getting one sent out to me from the hospital.
I tried tai chi again this morning - it’s the most gentle exercise I know of -but my joints - hips, knees, ankles and arm objected big time. I’m going to stick with it though and hope I get used to it as I really enjoy it. It’s a shock seeing myself in the mirrored room :rotfl::rotfl: The image in the mirror doesn’t tally with the image in my head :rotfl:

  • That doctors surgery make it hard for you don't they. Glad to hear you are keeping yourself busy , going to the gym is really good as well. You will get back to work when the time is right , maybe it's the push you need to retire .:rotfl::rotfl:

I don’t know of any chair yoga near me Beanie. I’ve got membership to a gym so I’m going to carry on using what they have there rather than paying extra elsewhere until it runs out in a years time. I’m going to stick at it and hopefully it’ll get easier.....makes me realise I do need to shift some weight to take the pressure off my joints.

Yesterday I sorted 1 food cupboard and rearranged a worktop. Today I plan to sort out my spice/baking cupboard and my tea cupboard and veg box - I might even get under the sink done too but if not I’ll do that tomorrow

I’ve had my hair cut this morning - it’s pretty good popping over the road to hairdresser- my neighbour has a mobile business.

5 years 7 1/2 months until I retire Beanie (not that I’m counting) if they hadn’t messed with ages I’d have been retired a year by now :mad:

I’ve quite surprised myself. I’ve done the cupboards I’d planned and currently have the contents from under my sink strewn across the floor whilst it dries and I can put it all back :D so I’m having a break and lunch whilst I watch my guilty pleasure of watching Doctors. I might even defrost my fridge /freezer whilst I’m on a roll. My kitchen hasn’t been half as bad as I expected but when I think about it I did it before I went in hospital- so although it looked a mess it’s just been surface mess and things not being put away in the correct places.

A friend is taking me to C@stc@ tomorrow so I must at least try to have some control on my spends. I do tend to get carried away when I visit there....

The Gloria Estefan tickets I’d expected have unfortunately fallen through but I can take or leave her anyway. There’ll be another show.

  • Get you , the most I have done today is answer the door ! There will be another concert to go to, it wasn't meant to be.

I bet you can't wait to see DD and GD's , you will have a very tidy home for the visit the way you are going.

    Enjoy the afternoon.
