Well I cleaned my fridge but I’d had enough and left the freezer for another day.
I drove around to Morrison’s - big mistake. I bought some bits for Gdds- dresses reduced to £4.50 - I’d had my eye on these earlier in the year :money: Skirts and tight sets to go with a pretty jumper with butterflies on I’d bought a couple of weeks ago - dd will be travelling light as she’ll be travelling on the train home, so it’s an extra outfit just in case. Some pyjamas which comes complete with a mermaid tail blanket - the pjs will be a part of their Christmas presents...as will the skirts and tights if not needed...I’d only nipped around for potatoes and milk.
I’ve sat down and peeled a big bag of apples from ds tree - they were quite small but enough for a crumble and some for the freezer too. Lazy evening on the cards as I’m cream crackered now.January spends - £587.580 -
Early start this morning  I had a 7.30 am doctors appointment. It was a medication review with the same doctor I saw last time. He was like a different person - sweetness and light..... I didn’t mention what he said last time nor did he - I’m presuming he’ll have heard from the hospital by now and if he hasn’t yet he soon will. He thinks the red blotches I’ve had on my legs are to do with fine veins bursting as all the bloods he did tested were ok. Carry on taking the tablets for the pains in my hips......which is exactly what I expected. I had my flu jab too so hopefully I’ll avoid that this year.
My friend is coming around in a bit and we’ll head to c@stc@. Not been there for years so I’m quite excited.....mustn’t get carried away buying all sorts of things I don’t needJanuary spends - £587.580 -
7.30.
I was still asleep.

I did very well and only bought a pack of children’s books which I can split for some presents and a pack of panettone for a present. I now have my own membership card and can go whenever I want
 not sure if it’s a good thing or not......
A lazy afternoon planned.
I’ve just phoned work and told them I won’t be back until the end of November. The head teacher was lovely but I know they are very short staffed so I feel quite bad. But it is what it is......January spends - £587.580 -

Beanie I was quite proud BUT we were only in the store about 20 minutes as my friend needed to get home....and I know I can go back with dh....if I manage to show restraint then it’ll be a minor miracle
This morning I cleaned my kitchen window and window ledge plus the extractor fan over my cooker - I had to admit defeat and get dh to help me as it was just too much pressure on my arm.
We went out for dinner :rotfl: pensioners special :rotfl: £8.99 for 3 courses and ‘twas very nice too. That was en route to see friend in care home. I’d spoken to his wife this morning and she’s full of a cold so we told her to stay put and we went to see him instead. His speech is improving but he is just talking gobbledygook due to his dementia- he kept telling us how lucky he is.....don’t class it as lucky myself but he’s happy in his own way.
When we came home the sun was shining so I got dh to set up the power cleaner and sprayed a paved area outside which was getting a bit slippery with moss and algae. It looks much worse atm  muddy puddles all over it....so tomorrow dh can sweep it once the puddles have dried up and we can put the furniture back and hopefully it’ll look better again. It’s a very satisfying job although a tad wet and mucky. It made me realise how just much the garden has been neglected whilst I’ve been working at half capacity this last couple of years...January spends - £587.580 -
It's so annoying about the rise in state pension age. I've now got just over 7 years to go thanks to that
Having said that, being with Mr SA 24-7 would drive me potty so maybe it's a blessing in disguise :rotfl:

I've got 12 years to go until I can claim my state pension:(. Still at least it gives us longer to earn money I guess. It's great that you can do more now with your arm

If a private pension provider arbitrarily changed the pay out age, government could step in but it’s ok for government to do.
