Some of the plants I’d ordered a couple of weeks ago arrived today. They were quite tiny so I’m hoping they’ll grow  so I’ve planted 66 primula and 120 pansies - some by my front door in pots and some in the back garden. I’ve pottered around and created a miniature garden with a Celtic cross complete with a slate set of steps - sounds a lot but it’s an area of about 12 inches square. It’s best part of 2 years since I’ve been able to ‘play’ gardening as I’ve not been able to use a trowel properly - I’ve thoroughly enjoyed myself. I’ve painted 6 ornamental moles (only about 2 inches high) for a slate mine which dh will compile - I can’t lift the big stones anymore:( Between us we’ve topped up some gravel under some of the train track to re-level it. I’ve rested lots and not done anything heavy at all - if I’ve knelt its been on a cushion- luckily my garden is all raised beds so no bending as such. I know about it now though - shattered and aching arm.com:o At some point over the next few days I need to plant 100 miniature daffodils - but I do it the lazy way of just scattering them and filling the trough where they’ll be with soil so no digging involved.
Dh cooked tea whilst I soaked in the bath :D
I’ve achieved my goal again of less screen time - we had the radio on by the door so I could hear it outside.:D
    I’ve had my 3rd NSD this week.:D
Not sure how the weight loss target will go though tomorrow - birthday meals out, pizza out and Hotel Chocolate birthday pressie being devoured daily - well it’d be rude to let it go to waste :o
And I’m still just thinking about sorting the sideboard ;)
I haven’t used my gym membership today but I’ve done 2 classes this week :D

I’m so pleased the consultant signed me off work as the dreaded OFSTED have paid a visit this week. Not sure how we’ve done yet though and they didn’t give anything away with body language or hints......

Went to SW this morning and as I suspected the weight I lost last week has made a reappearance - so 2 1/2 lb back on. Well not sure who I was kidding hoping I wouldn’t gain on my birthday - cake, pizza, wine and much more.

I went to podiatry- I walked there (about 1/2 hour) so he could see my feet after walking, dh picked me up. By the time he’d finished pushing my feet in sponge to make new mould’s I could barely put them on the floor....and he reckons I’ve broken my toe - it’s bright purple and swollen after stubbing it earlier this week. That’ll be about 5 broken toes this year  So he’s making me new inserts and will make some for my new sandals- which he approves of. I go back in 3 weeks to collect them.

I’m sitting with my feet up relaxing and have had a lazy day as my arm has been aching after yesterday and I didn’t do anything strenuous. I’m hoping for a nice day tomorrow so I can get my daffodils in the garden, although I will take it very easy. I’m finding it very frustrating as I want to do much more than my body is allowing atm.

I spent £30 in B&M but stocked up on soap, conditioner and cleaning stuff....and several packs of little treats just fell into the basket too - the joys of shopping with dh :rotfl: no wonder I don’t lose weight:p

  • All your flowers will look lovely in the spring :). You sound like you had a lovely day pottering in the garden.

How lucky that you missed OFSTED .

Sorry about your broken toe, but I'm glad your sandals got approved.

    Boo to the toe :(

So you've had a gain. Draw a line in the sand and make a fresh start. Don't be dis-heartened you can turn it around.

Don't feel guilty for not doing as much as you'd like. Small steps and all that xx

Caught up with you at last! And happy belated birthday wishes! But :eek:to the toe! Blinkin' painful!:(

Your gardening sounds like it will produce some beautiful results. Re the weight, as SA says draw a line - tomorrow is another day - and all that!:D. You'll lose it - you have before.

I love your Optimistic October targets. I remember you mentioned that title a few weeks ago - I shamelessly pinched it!::rotfl:

Hope the weather stays bright for the daffodil planting tomorrow

SSG I pinched it from my SW group so feel free.

Thanks for your kind comments folks - I know I’ll lose the weight again....just need to do it NOW - patience isn’t my strong point on this subject. I’ve had a good day today though - only 5 syns :D

I was going to go to the gym but I was just too tired. I think the consultant was right insisting I took more time off work - as I’ve made myself do things rather than sitting watching tv and playing on the computer I’ve been shattered. On that note I’m off to bed. Night night:p

I'm pleased you had a lovely birthday and a birthday without treats isn't allowed :D

Your garden will look lovely so will be worth the effort. Well done with your targets - you're doing really well with the reduced screen time.
