Thanks Hairy. Dh had a lovely birthday - he went to his U3A group in the morning and I went to SW - I was really pleased a 4 LB loss - the biggest I’ve EVER had so I was chuffed. We travelled to a big city about an hour away and had intended going into the Beatles Museum but went for a meal first...it showed a menu outside - there were some SW friendly items I could choose so we toddled in. What we hadn’t realised is that they served everything on the menu — 1st course was dips, various salads and a bread basket like I’ve never seen before - even freshly made pizza in it. The main course were various kebabs and meats served in a hot plate in the centre of the table and assorted accompaniments- chips, mash, veg and sauces. It was 12.99 each - I don’t know how they did it for the price considering what they served us....and they kept coming and asking if we wanted more. By the time we just about managed to walk out it was too late to go to the museum so we had a meander around the shops until it went dark and we walked around the festival of light along the dock and river area. On Saturday we met ds in our big city where the Christmas markets had started, we mooched around trying the wares and went to the cinema to see Dr Sleep the sequel to The Shining - one of my fave films and I’m not convinced it should have been messed with - I did quite enjoy the film though.....then went for another meal - and we got a voucher for a main course for a fiver :money: which was an unexpected surprise. I ended up buying dh a cd for his birthday so all is good.
I have to reign in with my eating now though or I will have put my 4 LB back on.
It would have been my dads 101st birthday today. Things work in a funny old way and I’m quite pleased to have dh birthday to celebrate at this time of year as neither my dad or sister would want me being miserable. They have been in my thoughts though and we’ve had some laughs about some things concerning them both this weekend.
I did ok with last weeks targets
Week 2 targets

2NSDs so far this week.
Heard some sad news about somebody quite close to me this morning. Nothing I can do except be there for them as they’ve been for me. Life can be cruel. I was expecting something as this person has been poorly a while but not the news I heard.
So I’m going for a swim to put things into perspective because I know if I stay in I’ll hit the cupboards and eat rubbish all day.
I’ve just made a lovely warm wrap with bacon, cheese an onions - real comfort foodI do love the things I can eat on SW....you wouldn’t have thought it was any kind of healthy eating plan.
That said I still have a lot to make up for weekend if I want a loss again.January spends - £587.580 -
:rotfl: I forgot to say that I did indeed end up with 2 sick notes :rotfl:

I put my shoes on to go out but CBA so I’ve spent far too long playing brain numbing games on line - some days the brain needs to be numbed to stop it thinking
At least it stayed a NSD and I’ve been munching on fruit not too much rubbish

Thanks Beanie. I’m desperately hoping the doctors expected result isn’t correct for this person - and the actual results show differently. Sorry to be vague for now.
So I’ve failed miserably at reducing my screen time over the last couple of days. I have had 3 NSDs :money: but I need to go shopping tomorrow and get my backside off the chair to do something.January spends - £587.580 -
Well I gave myself a good talking to and went for a swim - my moping about they place won’t change anything about the news I had - I just needed to get my head around things yesterday. I was quite pleased 2 lots of 6 lengths with a jacuzzi stop in between. That’s the most I’ve done but I know I’ve used my arm - needed a top up of painkillers afterwards. I went in the cafe and had poached egg on toast which I get 25% off with my membership- I could have come home and done the same but I needed to ‘do’ something with myself. I headed to the post office and posted gdds birthday present of the clothes for the toy cat she chose at half term. She should get them in plenty of time. I went and bought the ingredients for 4 Christmas cakes - 1 for home, 1 to take to dds, a present for my SIL and a present for dis boss. I’d hoped to get them in the oven but it’s a bit late in the day now. So fruit is soaking in sherry and brandy.
I’m just going to have a cuppa and watch some catch up tv before I put the rest of my shopping away and have my tea - I do like Wednesdays as dh is out until half 7 and I have an easy lazy tea.January spends - £587.580 -
