I'm glad you'll still be able to get your swimming, knitting, etc done when you go back to work Milann. I tend to put loads of things off until the holidays, but then the holidays are never long enough :rotfl:.
I didn't enjoy my lunchtime job today as it was torrential rain so the children had to stay indoors and we were short of two staff, so it was very hectic indeed! Barely controlled chaos in fact  :rotfl:.Finally Debt Free After 34 Years, But Still Need to Live Frugally

Sounds like you're very organised on the Christmas front
It's brilliant to be in charge of finances, I'm the same - a few years ago Christmas would've gone on the cc and sorted out later. Now like you I'm on top of it all and it's a great feeling. Glad you're still on full pay :j

I knew I’d regret my mindless eating this week 2 LB on.....never mind- at least I went and can do something about it. I could kick myself....I didn’t even particularly enjoy what I ate.
I’m quite excited as we might be having the grandkids a couple of nights in the early New Year. It was lovely at half term when we had them, and it’ll be fresh in little ones mind so it won’t be as strange for her. She did very well though last time.
Eldest one has her birthday party tomorrow and was very excited telling us all about it this morning.
We went for a walk at a local NT place today - they were getting set up for a light display this evening. It looked really good but was fully booked. Might investigate and try and visit whilst it's still on.January spends - £587.580 -
I'm sure you'll soon lose the weight Milann. Although you'll have to watch the cakes in the staffroom if it's anything like my school!
I love the Christmas lights at NT places, I'm planning on visiting two this year as it makes me feel really Christmassy. I hope you manage to go on another occasion.

I know just what you mean about cakes in the staff room  I’ve trained myself to try and resist - I’m certainly much better than I used to be. Half the staff are doing SlimmingWorld the other half are feeders :rotfl::rotfl: it’s the presents from parents at the end of term or Christmas too....so many chocolates.....I’m not going to accept any this year though if I’m back as I’ve not been there.
I’ve stayed within my limits food wise this weeekend. I’ve got some stewing steak in the oven with new potatoes and cabbage for tea...smells lovely. I’ve had a couple of Jaffa cakes as treats....I’m trying to save myself for Friday as I’m going for a posh afternoon tea after physio at the hotel we visited on a heritage day in seaside place not far from the hospital- so I’m weighing in on Thursday which will only be 5 days since my last weigh in - if I can get a loss I’ll be well chuffed. Then I’ll enjoy the afternoon tea and not even think of SW and go for weigh in the following Saturday which will be 9 days - should help me get back on track again. A girl’s got to have some treats- just got to get the balance right.
I’ve got a telephone interview with occupational health in the morning so will have to see what they say. I’m hoping to go for a swim afterwards - I need to break the habit of sitting in front of the tv. I might even go into town and get some vouchers for a meal at a new restaurant which I know my son would like for Christmas and I’m thinking of getting dh some too with a little present to open on the day. I’ll see what the weather is like.January spends - £587.580 -
Finally caught up with you! Hope telephone interview goes well tomorrow and you manage to go for your swim.
Posh afternoon tea next week sounds yum!

Nice to see you SeasideGal.Yes I’m hoping to get rid of the 2 LB soon - I can’t keep on yo-yoing as it’s really getting me down. It’s affecting my health now so needs must and all that. I did sponge and custard for dh and I licked the custard spoon - didn’t have any :A You have done so well tackling the veganism - there’s no way I could do that.January spends - £587.580

You are a better woman than me as I would have somecustard

I’m at physio on Friday, the hip clinic on Monday and I see consultant on 10th December Beanie. I’ve just realised I may well be back at work on 5 th December if physio gives me the all clear.....that’s not far away...... in my head I’ve still got lots of time off to do the things I want to do before I go back :eek: Don’t think they’re going to happen
I had an interview with occupational health yesterday and it was fine - she suggested staying off until I’ve seen the consultant on 10th but I’ll do what the physio says - she may well say the same. But whenever I go back it has to be a phased return.
I went for a swim today but yesterday was another day in front of the tv eating rubbish- don’t know what’s got into me.
I had some news yesterday - one of my very close friends has a son with severe needs and he is in hospital with sepsis. He is 22 now but functions at about age 2 and had so many close shaves with his health - nobody knew what his life expectancy would be as his condition is very rare - his sister passed away at 12, 6 years ago with what they now call sepsis. I’m hoping he pulls through again - his mum is an amazing lady. You wouldn’t believe how many times he has been in intensive care and comes out smiling each time.
I’ve had 2 NSDs in a rowI found 55p on the floor at weekend too - :rotfl::rotfl:I was so pleased - you’d have thought it was £55....small things and all that :rotfl:
