I will take it easy Beanie- honest :D
I feel ready to go back now - my confidence is returning, I’m using my arm a lot more naturally rather than using my left arm to do things.
I’m using a combination of meds and heat patches on my hip - if I give in and don’t use it - I firmly believe I’ll lose it - need to strike the right balance between rest and exercise - hopefully he’ll give me an injection that’ll sort it for a good long while- along with loosing a stone and a half - simples - if only :o

I went into school yesterday to watch a carol service- it was lovely - years 3 and 4 sang lots of traditional carols and a few fun songs too. We have quite a few children that sign in those years - so everyone signs makaton - it was very special and my eyes were leaking a tad. Made me feel very Christmassy :xmastree:
I went for a meeting this morning and will be doing 3 weeks @ 50% hours then 2 @ 75% and full time after that. Holidays don’t count so it’ll be the end of January when I go in full time. I ended up staying after the meeting for the morning and will be in tomorrow afternoon too. :D It felt good to be back.
I’m going to see The Bootleg Beetles tomorrow evening and really looking forward to it. It’s at a concert hall in the big city near me so looking forward to that.
I finished icing all the Christmas cakes yesterday and was even able to use a piping bag :D Not been able to do that for a couple of years....things are getting back to normal :T

  • Wow! You have been busy! You put me to shame with the amount of things you do - and with your poor arm too!

    And good news re work!:T

The carol service sounded lovely. There is a local primary school near the London station I commute into that always has a little carol singalong one or two days in the evening at the station to raise money for the school. They are always out of tune but I love them! If I get there when they are singing Mary's Boy Child it always raises a tear!

    Enjoy the Bootleg Beetles!

The Bootleg Beatles were fantastic - we went on the tram into town straight after work and intended getting something to eat in Spoons. It was heaving - there wasn’t even any standing room....so we headed to an all you can eat buffet which was delicious....mmmmm...not sure how Slimming World friendly it was though...the scales will tell next week. Then we walked around to the concert hall. We were right on the back row and there were only 6 of us - we all gelled and we’re up dancing in our seats and singing best part of the night. I paid for it this morning though. They sounded so like the Beatles and were brilliant performers and the icing on the cake were live musicians playing when necessary- so much better than a backing track that the other tribute bands I’ve seen have used.
Today I’ve been visiting family delivering Christmas presents and I met my adopted great niece - she’s a real charmer - absolutely gorgeous and her new parents are rightly besotted with her.
I saw the family member who was so worried about the health tests being undertaken and isn’t much further on - they tried to do a camera job but couldn’t get the camera around so are still waiting for scans...considering they said they were supposed to be fast tracking these tests there are still has no answers.
I went and did some shopping at Mr M - it came to £56.50 - I only had to pay £1.50 the rest was vouchers :money::money:- I’d like my shopping to be like that every week....if only :D The annoying thing is I’d let 2 £5 vouchers pass their expiry date
Tomorrow I’m going to help ds with his Christmas tree.
I’m working 3 afternoons and 1 full day this week and I’ll have a day off when I go to physio. Then it’s 2 weeks holidays :D
I finally posted the Christmas cards which have been in my bag for several days. So all I have to do is make mince pies and get some food shopping in and that’s me done. It’s never been known before and probably won’t be seen again.

Hope you manage to stave off the hip op for as long as you can, especially now your arm is making such good progress.

This time of year it's all about damage limitation diet wise, don't beat yourself up about enjoying a meal out. As long as you're on track most of the time you should be ok :)
