I had a lovely time at Dds. It was full on and very intense with the children though - as we only see them once in a while they don’t want to leave our sides and miss a minute....so a relaxed day is on the cards today. We tended to go out and about the local areas in the mornings - spent a lot of times pushing swings and waiting in playgrounds for them. Spent the afternoons in the garden where it was cooler and went onto the beach to watch the sunset followed by myself and dh going for a drink whilst dd took the children home. We babysat one evening so ds/dd and sil went out. It really is nice to be by the beach but so far from here. It took us from 1.30 to nearly 8pm to get home yesterday with just a quick loo break....and the traffic wasn’t anywhere as bad I we’d imagined. Just a bit of traffic near Heathrow which is pretty normal - no worse for the bank holiday. Although not the best in full sun and broken air con in ds car  The elder of my gks was beside herself with happiness when she saw me knitting
very dramatically announced ‘she didn’t think Grandma would EVER be able to make her anything anymore with my poorly arm’ :rotfl::rotfl: I had to explain I wouldn’t be able to do it as quickly as I used to.....I thought at nearly 6 she might not be wanting knitted cardigans anymore. I’m quite pleased she does - as long as it has purple buttons she’ll be happy. Youngest gk is 2 1/2 and never still think she’s the joker of the 2 :rotfl:bSuch different characters - both gorgeous in their own way - but I’m a bit biased with my Grandma glasses on
:D
I haven’t totted my spends up - I did spend but could have been a lot worse. It always feels like a real holiday when we go there.
I’ve managed to get some flowery material for our hippie jeans - I’ll try and get some white pumps on Thursday when I go into town with my friend. Dh has ordered wigs and waistcoats for us both so I’m quite looking forward to Friday night - it’ll be all 60s music which I love.
I’m at the GPs on Friday - hopefully I’ll get another sick note as I’ve not managed to drive or do anything which involves reaching or holding anything heavier than a half full cup yet. I go back to the hospital at the end of September and then I’m hoping I can go back to work.
Not much more to report. I’m going to pay my cc in full later and check I’ve been reimbursed for the shoes I sent back. I can’t quite believe how long I’ve managed to keep paying in full. I think it’s helped being off work and unable to go shopping as dh did a lot of shopping when I was first off, but it’s gradually getting back to normal. I’ll have to be careful not to slip back.

All good then
Glad that you had a good time.
Sure you will get another line ok.
When do your schools go back?
A very bad fire at a school fairly near to me at the weekend, it is totally gutted
1400 pupils to find a home for sadly.

Beanie your day will come. Your mortgage is going down every month - is it a couple of years now? You have come a long way - with no help. I’ve had dh (although he never knew how much my debt was - he’d have worried himself silly and been unbearable to live with) His wages paid the mortgage and some bills - mine did kids and house stuff/presents and some bills, it wasn’t rigid but worked ok for us. You are doing it single handed - I applaud you my vf :money::beer:January spends - £587.580

Our schools go back next Tuesday I think.....because I’m hoping to be off again I haven’t really looked  how bad is that:eek
Not sure what’s going on but my nail has come virtually completely detached- it has been really sore since my day in Liverpool when my legs got the weird patches on - 1st time I’d worn closed shoes for a long time. I think I had a blister under it as it was weeping if any pressure went on it. It’s not as sore now but is hanging on by 1 side. I’m hoping it’ll grow back.
