It will be Tuesday afternoon in big shopping centre Sunshine Girl. Think you know the one I mean  I’ve ordered the squeeze in underskirt for pick up Tuesday. I’ll take my dress and try them on together to see if it makes a difference.
Yes Beanie has been dire indeed. Dh drove me to M&S today on an out of town retail park - my local M&S has shut. We went along ordinary roads rather than the by pass which can get very busy - we saw a load of people peering over a bridge - so I had a nosey out of the window and saw the new road to the airport still completely flooded. That’s been shut for over a week now.....and more rain forecast from tomorrow. Oh and my favourite garden centre about 4 miles from here runs by the side of the new road - it’s completely flooded with fast moving water running through  There’s a train that runs around it and all the children love it - it’s been there donkeys years - mine loved it so do my gks. So they’ll miss out on all the summer trade and the children will miss out on the train rides. It has been awful.January spends - £587.580 -
Boo to the wardrobe malfunction
Hope you get something sorted. Talking about wearing black to a wedding - my cousin got married in black, her mum didn't like her (now ex) husband and thought the choice of colour was appropriate :rotfl:

I was woken this morning with a cuppa, flowers and card from Mr M. 41 years married today
. I can’t believe it’s been a year since our weekend in York when I surprised him with his train. We didn’t get our cruise we wanted but once I can swim after my arm op, I can fit into some clothes and if the inheritance eventually comes through - we will. I got him a card as I haven’t got a clue what to get him. We’re going out for something to eat later too :D

Thank you Beanie. Can’t believe it’s 41 years
Well I’ve just tried to get a gp appointment as my sick note runs out at the end of August. I figured if I need another I can keep the appointment- if I don’t I’ll cancel. But I’ll be covered just in case. I can’t get an appointment for 4 weeks.... I couldn’t believe it was so long.....the receptionist was very apologetic and suggested I ring nearer the time to see if there’s any cancellations.....unbelievable.
I’m so cross I’ve just e-mailed a couple of MPs to voice my concerns...not just for me but in general:mad::mad::mad:January spends - £587.580 -

A friend came shopping with me yesterday. I had a mini panic about going out on my own and text her. I’m so glad she did. I’d imagined traipsing around and having to get something I didn’t like because it fitted. The first shop we went in had a sale on. My friend found a dress she knew I’d like but the had a small size and a size 4 times bigger than I wear. She insisted I try the small one on. It fitted better than my own dress but still showed some lumps and bumps where there shouldn’t have been any:o Then she told me to put the big one on.....pulled, and held it in certain places...and told me she’d sort it for me. My friend is a marvel with a sewing machine
:D So once home she pinned it to take the sides in - the shoulders and length up and the neckline down and a couple of darts. It feels great so now she’s taken it home to machine with her fancy industrial machine. Once it’s done I know it’ll fit perfectly. I do have some lovely and talented friends. And it was £15 reduced from £45. I got a bolero cardi in same shop again reduced to £15
:D:D:D
Since we didn’t need to go around the shops other than to pick underskirt from M&S we went to a restaurant and she treated me to dinner and dessert with a bottle of wine. We must have sat in there for a couple of hours putting the world to rights. We’d travelled by bus so we could both have a drink. On the way home we got off early had to nip to the loo in Wethersp00ns and another bottle of wine just ended up on our table...:o. We walked home from there along the river in the evening sunshine. So I had a lovely day although I spent more than I’d planned with the new outfit and bottle of wine on our way home. But it could have been much worse. Didn’t do much for my SW regime either....but it was worth it.
Lazy day today - no spends and on catch-up with sw, hoping not to put on by weigh in Friday.January spends - £587.580 -

You sound like you had a lovely day with your friend. Those sort of days are the best! And great news that you'll have an outfit that you feel good in after she has worked her magic on the alterations.
Hope you manage to get a doctor's appointment! Waiting lists these days are dire! I recently had my thyroid blood test done. Have now had a text from the surgery offering a phone call appointment with the doctor to discuss! Looks like this is the way forward.....:(
Enjoy your lazy day!

I managed to get an appointment the day after my sick note runs out. It’s actually with the doctor I’m registered with and have been for years. Think I’ve only actually met him once as there’s always different newly trained doctors passing through our surgery which can be a good thing. But there’s never any consistency. I might feel up to work by then - in which case I’ll cancel but atm I just don’t feel ready.
I made another baby hat yesterday - I did it in blocks of about 10 minutes as I suffered when I got carried away and did too much last week. So I’ve got 6 hats to take tomorrow when I go to physio. I’m quite pleased with them.January spends - £587.580
