I'm like you and try to focus on what I can do rather than think about what I can't (related to Mr SA's health issues not mine). Sometimes though you just can't help thinking, especially when you see what others are doing and it doesn't seem fair. Then you realise there's always someone worse off than you and move on. All progress is good so here's to more of that

I agree with what SA says, it is hard for you and easy to compare yourself with others. But try and focus on the positive.

The weird thing is that it’s easier to mend an injury than to rebuild confidence. Just don’t push too hard and you’ll get there. Well done on the giving back

Thanks everyone.
I took my granny basket on wheels :D around to Morrison’s (literally around the corner - less than a 5 minute walk) I bought a few bits I needed and have come home and been tidying up. A teacher from school might be popping in tomorrow or Wednesday and she hasn’t been here before so want it reasonably tidy. Not sure why I’m nervous about her coming round - she’s lovely and wouldn’t care what the house is like as she’d say she’s coming to see me not the house. But it’ll make me feel better if it’s a bit tidier.
I’ve taken a piece of pork from the freezer and hope to surprise dh with a nice roast dinner- frozen roasties and veg as I can’t peel them yet and he’ll have to take the meat out of the oven :rotfl: but it’ll save him cooking after work. It was quite cool here this morning when I decided to use the oven but has warmed up considerably so I’m slightly regretting my decision now.

Hi Milann - enjoy the roast dinner. I know what you mean about food choices and the weather as I he programmed two roast dinners a week during summer.... what was I thinking? Ease of preparation.. .

Was a very tasty tea and crackling was soooo good. It’s feeling good to be able to do bits in the kitchen again - even if I did need some help with lifting and carving :beer:
