Not much to report. I went to physio on Thursday and to my brother’s house on our way home dh did a job for him. Physio went ok - another exercise to do but they’re still really simple movements which are proving difficult. Been told I can start using a bit more if I’m able to but not to push it.
I went to a retirement do on Friday for a lady from 3 jobs away from where I am now. I made some lovely friends whilst there so had a great catch up - it’s a nursery that’ll always have a special place in my heart. Dh dropped me off and picked me up - we all had a good laugh at how we were sitting in the side room away from the loud music - how times change- we’d have all been in the thick of the dancing and music a few years ago.....
Not sure why but I’ve been really down in the dumps since - must give myself a talking to and shake out of it :o

Hi milann - re. feeling blah - it ould be a combination of delayed reaction from your op and the aftermath of meeting up with good pals you haven't seen for a while and having a great time - thus feeling a bit flat afterwards.

Hope you're in better spirits today.

Thanks SSG and Beanie - think you’re right plus frustration at slow progress - it’s doing well and I knew it’d be a long job but it’s frustrating non the less. I also looked at the ladies I used to work with and they’ve had no or little health problems at all and they’re all my age or older....suppose a bit of self pity crept in.....gave myself a kick up the behind and got my crochet hook out - YAY I can crochet again. I can only do short spurts and my arm aches a bit but I can do it. I’ve made a hat- hottest day of the year and I’m trying woolly hats on :rotfl: I want to make a few things that are small and not heavy to work with for the WRVS at the hospital I went to....I thought my crafting days were finished. Don’t think I can knit yet as it’s a different arm action but I’ll settle with crochet for now. It’s taken me 2 days instead of 2 hours but I can cope with that.
I’m at the GP tomorrow for another sick note. Then I’ll get dh to drop me at work on Thursday to drop it in and wish everyone well for the summer.

Glad you were feeling a bit better today. Good that you are making a difference at the hospital too. Giving really gives us all a lift doesn't it. My neighbour mowed our lawn the other day when we were having a rough time and it makes such a difference. It reaffirms your belief that people care.

Just got back from the doctors- a sick note for another month so I’ll drop that into school tomorrow. I’ve bought biscuits for the staff room at school - feels funny not being part of the end of term fun and frustrations and mad scramble getting ready for next year.

We sat in the garden last night which was lovely. Dh put a train on his model track - it’s ages since we’ve done that. It’s such a shame - he’s been making the railway about 12 years ago and it was his pride and joy. Lots of 2nd hand track and buildings from kits bought for birthdays it looked amazing - even if I say so myself. Anyway he’s extended it and done various bits over the years and suddenly lost interest. I used to do the planting, paint buildings and potter around but I’ve not been able to do it either. So although others say it looks good it’s annoying me as all I can see are things that need doing. It’s got to the stage where a hobby has become a chore and I’m not sure whether it’s time to get rid. But if I broach or suggest anything it’ll be taken as nagging....ah well if that’s my biggest worry life can’t be bad...
All this time on my hands with so much I need to do.....so frustrating!!

Always difficult when a hobby becomes a chore.
Try not to worry about things that you cant do.
Enjoy popping into school tomorrow :)

We will sort it out one day..... when it’s not raining and not too hot and we’re actually at home and fighting fit......mmmmm....might be waiting a while then :rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:
Been another good sw day - hope it shows on the scales on Friday...
