Well I’ve had a lovely couple of nights away. We left it in ds capable hands to research a good deal at a premier inn - as we were all really impressed with our last visit. So he booked 2 nights in Bonnie Scotland. We took a scenic route visiting some places en route, some of which were old haunts from when the children were little. Ended up in good old Wethersp@@ns for tea. The following day we’d planned a mooch around the city we were staying in and then dh and ds were going off on a bike ride around a loch ds visited a few years ago. I was going to amuse myself in town......by chance ds mentioned a place he was going to park the car. Mmmmmm - this got my grey matter working as I recognised the name and I thought a vf lived nearby. So a couple of messages later all plans had changed and I met a lovely lady whom I’ve chatted to on here for years. The lovely Beanie. We had cake and cuppas and a little tour of the town . It couldn’t have worked out better if we’d planned it for months. Back at the hotel I contacted a rl friend I haven’t seen for far too many years but we’re wondering how we could get to see her in the limited time we had there. She met us for breakfast before we headed home again - a different scenic route home.
We arrived home just in time to get milk before the late opening shop closed. So even though we were only away 2 nights I feel I’ve fitted so much in. It was lovely.
And I arrived home to a beautiful bouquet of flowers from work.
Back to reality though need some NSDS under my belt and a lot less calories under it too.

So today I’ve barely moved from my chair - I’ve travelled some miles in just over a week and it’s taken it’s toll on me I think. Even though I was only sitting admiring the beautiful scenery.
On our way home yesterday we visited a Scottish National Trust Place where the battle of Bannock Burn took place. I’ve never been to anywhere quite like it - a 3 d and then interactive show of the battle - different but worth a visit. Netflix have a film about it - advertised in the museum - so we planned to watch it today - I saw the titles and a few snippets in between dosing off....:p
At least it’s been a NSD :D. I actually did very well with spends whilst away - and I’ve had a lot of time recently where I’ve not been out at all so it was like saving up for my days away. :D And a SW day too which I’ve not managed for a long time.

Savings account might have to wait until after payday though but that’s not the end of the world....think I’d rather make the memories I’ve made than worry about savings for now - but I will open it soon. The main thing is I’ve stayed df ;)

Today has been another lazy one. I’m quite pleased I’ve managed to use a pen today -a big achievement to be able to hold and manipulate it. I’m attempting to keep a food diary - a bit like a fancy diary with coloured pens and bullet points and pretty little piccys. I kept one a while ago and found it really quite helped. So I thought I’d give it a go. I could only write a few words at a time - rest then do some more. But little by little will get me where I want to be....
A friend is coming around and bringing lunch tomorrow - looking forward to that but will seem strange as I usually do the food. Can’t wait until I can use my arm properly again. I’m getting frustrated that I can’t do what I want - but it’s what I expected- all I can say is thank goodness for the t’internet or I’d be well and truly bored.
Lol what a whingebag - need to put my positive head on. NSD so far but I need a few bits...
