Did some number crunching today - I was pleased to be able to pay my cc in full even though it contained my car insurance and the bedroom curtains and bits and bobs I’d bought to brighten my room up :money::beer: my gym membership will be on next months but I’m on target to pay that off too. Feeling rather smug - hope nothing comes along to burst my bubble.....January spends - £587.580

So I’ve been getting cheesed off sitting in front of the tv and computer eating my weight in rubbish....so last night I got Mr M to replace batteries in the wii fit. We used to use it regularly but it’s been gathering dust under the tv for ages. It said it’s been over 1000 days since I last visited and I’ve put 1 STONE on :eek: I knew it but seeing it written in front of me on the screen was an eye opener. Anyway I’d forgotten just how much fun it can be. It did say I had an age of 57 though which I took with bells on as it’s 3 years younger than I am - to be honest I feel ten years older atm. So I intend to do at least half an hour a day when I’m at home
I kept my sling on as I did it, as it’s still quite painful if I move around too much with it loose and I was careful which activity I did.
I’d normally go out for a walk but I don’t feel very confident going out for a walk on my own - I’m really wary of falling on it. So at least the wii fit is getting me moving a bit:D:D
Another NSD and I’ve had £30 in my account for having a day procedure in hospital :money:January spends - £587.580 -
Did 40 minutes on wii fit today - not friends with it though as it calculated my age 75 :eek::eek: it is good fun.....either that or.....I’m very bored and easily pleased
Spent £5 in Morrison’s cafe - dh out till 7.30 and it saves him messing about cooking when he comes in and I’d have been ravenous by that time.
Been watching catch up tv....ackley bridge has had me hooked...a friend said she’d watched it - not something I’d usually watch but I was nearly blubbering this afternoon....shows I shouldn’t judge a programme until I’ve watched it.
Need to get dh on board for a big clean up tomorrow- driving me mad not being able to do much....dh cooks, washes up and will put a wash on - doesn’t see anything else :rotfl::rotfl: Nothing has been hoovered or dusted since I had my arm done on 10th - good job there’s only the 2 of us and we don’t make much sense mess :eek::eek: Then we’re off to see ddJanuary spends - £587.580 -

It's a good idea to use the Wii, they can be good fun. Age 75 though, how rude  :rotfl:.Finally Debt Free After 34 Years, But Still Need to Live Frugally

Oh dear - I’ve just been on the next website and ordered some new trousers - I’m struggling pulling them up 1 handed and am rotating 2 pairs - since we’re away for 4 days, I’ve ordered similar style to the ones I can manage which were from there last year and have been worn so much are very faded and pilled. Hopefully they’ll come tomorrow. It’s quite scary how easy it is to spend on the internet - something I don’t want to get into....I’m bad enough when I go shopping to the shop.
I’ve also been researching saving accounts and I quite like the Virgin regular saving account. There is a branch in local town so I can pop in to open it. Has anyone had dealings with Virgin?January spends - £587.580 -
A little victory that cheered me up last night- I managed to get my rings on my good hand - wedding, engagement and eternity rings. The swelling after attempting to get cannulas in has finally gone down and just the faintest hint of the bruising left
couldn’t get my ring on my bad arm yet as it’s still a bit swollen- it will go on again soon. Next challenge will be to be able to manipulate my arm/fingers into putting earrings in......
