All done - they were all lovely and looked after me well. My arm had a nerve block so was a complete dead weight and had no movement so no pain at all yet. He managed to do it in 1 go rather than having to do separate ops for elbow and wrist end. I’ve got a bit of feeling coming back now - watch this space.....
He’s told me to follow physio instructions and take it very slowly as it has been complex and intricate work. So I can start getting better now :T Here’s hoping it heals well.
Made the most of my nerve block yesterday and called for pizza on the way home as they we weren’t sure if or what time I’d be home.January spends - £587.580 -
Glad that it is all done now.

So far so good -3 NSDs in a row - some advantages to having surgery :money: I had my HSA form filled in too so need to send that in - not sure how much I’ll get as a day case but better in my pocket than there’s. I need a few more NSDs though to make up for last months spends on my bedroom.
I’m still sleeping downstairs - in a reclining chair that just cradles my arm nicely. I watched tv most of the 1st night as I wasn’t the slightest bit tired and then I crashed out at 10 last night - woke up at 4 -straight back to sleep until half 7. It’s the best I’ve slept in ages. I wouldn’t have slept in bed and neither would Mr M in case he hurt my arm.
I removed the bandage this morning as told to do and even managed to change a dressing which needed to be changed - I didn’t think I’d be able to it with my left hand. Mr M would have done it but he has been known to be a bit crack handed :rotfl::rotfl: and I’m not sure how he’d have shaped...so I tried and managed it. It’s going to have some impressive bruising even by my standards. I’ve been doing my physio exercises which is just wriggling my fingers for now and keeping my shoulders moving  and that feels like a massive workout. Baby steps :T
I’ve just had the nicest surprise of having some beautiful flowers delivered from a special friend - I’ve been very spoilt.January spends - £587.580 -
I'm glad you got a good night's sleep in your chair, does it recline? How lovely about the flowers from your friend
.
Make sure you get enough rest and don't overdo it, although if you're like me you'll get fed up with not being able to do anything. Finally Debt Free After 34 Years, But Still Need to Live Frugally

I’m definitely not overdoing things - I managed to get dressed today and have ambled into the kitchen to make cups of tea and I’m exhausted. Dh left my dinner ready for me and that’s my lot....

I’ve just been out for the first time - a ride to Aldi with dh. Spent £30 but it should last the week.
I’ve got to go to physio on Tuesday so friend is taking me, it is her 60th on Monday so I’ll treat her to a nice lunch and give her petrol money - along with her birthday present of a red kettle.
I’ve just had to turn down free tickets to see The Eagles at Wembley next week as I don’t think my arm would cope with the journey and crowds.....gutted as dh loves them. Wish it’d have been another couple of weeks on. But that’s life....January spends - £587.580 -
Hope you have been taking/using arnica
