Time to padlock my purse - I’ve gone a tad mad buying for the bedroom - I’m so pleased with it though. Really bright and cheerful and I didn’t need to paint it as I thought I might need to do (I’ve not put my new bedding on yet- I’m saving that for Sunday and it’ll be nice when I come home from hospital). Pictures are up in bedroom and the hall - hall ones have been waiting to go up over a year:eek: Everywhere has been deep cleaned and freezer is full of home made ready meals.

I went to SW this morning and lost the 2 lb I put on last week :j I’m focussed though and know by the time I go back in a few weeks time I’ll have hopefully lost quite a bit more. My membership will be on hold - I intend to make the most of not paying for a few weeks and be nearer my target weight when I go back. I’m tempted not to weigh myself at home so I can see a difference.....or maybe I need to weigh myself weekly to keep on track.

From there I went to gym as my membership runs out next month and I’ve had a reminder. I was undecided whether or not to rejoin so had a chat. Anyway they’ve put my membership on hold until I’m ready. I still get all the perks of renewing early - extra friend passes and a free voucher to eat in the restaurant, and 13 months rather than 12. He asked about physio and said if I take the physio notes and meet with a trainer they will help me work out a programme - obviously when I’m given the say so from the hospital. That was £400 on my cc  but I feel I’ve got a plan to aid my recovery. This has gone on my next months cc which starts today - and I don’t think I’ll need to buy much more (famous last words;))If I have to pay over 2 months for a one off, I can cope with that - I won’t make a habit of it though.

It’s all feeling rather real as I have to phone the ward between 6and 8 to tell me what time to get there on Monday - they’ll have the theatre list by now.:eek::eek:

So I’m all ready - just want a general polish and hoover around on Sunday and that’s it.....

  • You've been amazingly organised Milann and it will certainly make is a lot easier for you when you come home from the hospital. Your new bedroom will be lovely to come home to as well :).

    Good luck for Monday.

Thanks Hairy - I’m great at organising and coping after an event has happened - so once I had my admission date - I went into ‘best way to recover’ mode - what I’m no good with is waiting :o so that’s why I’d scuppered my SW plan as I’d been waiting months for something to happen.

So I’ve phoned and need to be there at 7.15 on Monday morning. It looks like I’m one of the first to go down. Nothing to eat after midnight but I can have water until 6 am.

I’m at a bit of a loss what to do with myself at weekend - I don’t want to go out as I’ll end up spending....I might paint some of dh railway buildings - that is quite relaxing and I won’t be able to do that after Monday for a while......

I had a lovely surprise this morning from dd - a couple of books and some relaxing essential oils plus some pictures the gks have drawn to make me feel better winged it way through the post.

Ds has cooked some meals for us to eat together when he comes around to see me.

I feel very lucky to have thoughtful children :A:A and a thoughtful dh of course :A ohhhhh and thoughtful friends both real and virtual :A:A
    I just feel lucky :p

Mmmm.....my damp patch on the bedroom ceiling is dripping water this morning - not bad but not what I wanted to see or hear- I’ve had to move my new cushions and put a dish to catch the water :mad: - once I’m home and up to the noise we will have to get someone in to sort it.
