OS DAILY THURS 30th AUG

Hi everyone, another busy one today. DD was in floods this morning cause she missed her dad and so she came with me whilst the other two went to play school. I was told off yesterday for turning up with all of them :eek: No further news today allthough his MRI turned out to be a doppler :rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl: which wasn't needed at the end as he has already has had one at Ysbyty Gwynedd some time ago. There is nothing firmed up yet about his coming home or the surgeons allthough he was meant to see the big bod today. We should find out more tomorow. He is loosing weight which they are pleased about as that means he is draining off the excess fluid.

I left the house at 7.50 this morning and eventually got back at 4.30 after numerous bus journeys, long walks and shuffling of offspring. The best bit was walking in to the wonderful aroma of chicken chasseur (sp) that I prepped last night and put in the slow cooker this morning - so no cooking, and it was LOVELY:T :T :T Even the kids ate it. :beer: :rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl:

I have a wash nearly ready to go on the line but need to TD his pajamas so that they are ready for tomorows round of bus journeys.

Found out one thing today though I can get a day rover for £5 for me and £3.50 each for the two eldest :j so that should save a fiver each day on the bus fares.

You're welcome, redruby - did you do the hog roast after all??

Had sort of a paella for dinner - was gonig to have DH make a pilaf with veg + prawns, but I ended up making it as he's very slow at chopping. So I sauted garlic, onion,, celery, carrots and red pepper, then added the rice + water w/ salt + pepper, let it cook, covered for 15 minutes, then added peas, cherry toms, and prawns that I had marinated in a little oil w/ tumeric, ginger, paprika, ground coriander + cumin. Put the lid back on and let simmer for 5-7 minutes more. Very nice! And enough for my lunch tomorrow.

Just got an email from a friend I haven't heard from all summer - she had gone to a family wedding, then her sis was really ill with colitis + kidney failure, so she went and looked after the kids, while her DH looked after his Mum and his MIL as they were in hossie with OPs at the same time, THEN they went away for a week that her BIL and sis paid for as a thank you. No wonder I thought she'd dropped off the face of the earth!

Hi Everyone.

Out of the loop and things at home crazy - not managed to look at anything. Mum has gone unstable in hospital and I am really worried about her. Date for pacemaker 3 weeks ahead. Come on - she is 82 just about 83 - they should be doing it. My sister and I trying to bring forward. Arranged with hospital that our brother speaks to Mum from the States on Saturday.

On Granny call for neighbours with their second baby - last night was the night. I got the call at 9.00 pm and couldn't really sleep until Dad came in just before 4.00 pm. A darling wee boy. Just glad to be there for them and they sent me gorgeous flowers today. Couples parents south of England so glad to help out.

i must confess that i dont get in here half as often as i probably should and for that i do apologise... but i've just noticed that one of our number is AWOL.

moggins hasnt been on the site (according to her profile at least) since may. if anyone is in contact with her in the real world, please can you let her know that she is missed. moggins if you are reading this as a lurker then :wave: i hope life is being a bit kinder to you of late :kisses3:

pavlovs_dog I contacted Kazonline via PM about a month ago who I knew was in regular contact with Moggins, she said Moggins was doing fine so just hope she returns when she is ready.

moggins had to re-register because of problems with her password (I think) but is now moggins-revisited. She posted recently to offer sympathy to me and pink-winged when we each had sadnesses in our lives. Checking her profile she looked at the site today, so i presume she's OK. She certainly seems to have landed a very nice, attentive man!!!!!

Really going to bed now...have been saying that to myself since 9.30...will have to disable this damned thing somehow, as moderation is not one of my fortes!
