Good morning to you all,
been up for an hour, bur awake since 2am !!!!!!!!
we managed to capture the hedgehog yesterday tea time and we took it to the local vet, it must have had at least 40 ticks on it, poor little thing, they said that if they couldnt see anything else wrong with it then they will remove them and send him to a lady that will look after him till he is healthy enough to return to the wild and if not then they would put him to sleep. also my neighbour said that she had found one of my baby ones dead in her garden yesterday, that only leaves 2 out of 4 now, yes the vets do treat wildlife free, so thankyou for the nice lady who told me that x x xx x
we are off to Brighton with my friend and her two kids today, there is a huge Primark there, so i will be in there !!!! we are taking a packed lunch and later will get chips on the pier !! and might even go mad and have an ice cream.
well i hope you all have a good day,
hugs to you all
Smokey,.. hope dh is feeling better x xx x

Morning
Another insomniac here
Made Hedgerow Jelly yesterday from hips, haws, elderberries, garlic & thyme. Going to enter a jar in the local Veg show on 8 September - might as well, as it's there
Also made blackberry jam, which tastes delicious and spiced pickled runner beans. Still got damsons to pick and we have weeks & weeks of blackberries left. Then it'll be sloes & sweet chestnuts :j
Need to put the hoover around, but I guess I'll need to wait for a couple of hoursWarning ..... I'm a peri-menopausal axe-wielding maniac0 -
:hello: Good morning!
I haven't been about recently so I thought I would say hello and show you the reason why! This is our new puppy
she does sleep sometimes
We are exhausted but she is worth it, such an affectionate and fun puppy. She sleeps at night ok now but Just got to crack the toilet training! Getting through a lot of dettox!
Amazingly yesterday while she was sleeping I did manage to make 3 large jars of plum chutney and some of ginghams lovely pesto recipe so dinner tonight is sorted. I have some mangoes in the fridge waiting to be turned into more chutney if I get a chance! Wish me luck!
(((Hugs))) to Catowen, JackieO, Queenie and all who need one.
Snowy - "Paws in the proceedings" by Deric longden is fab! Very funny! Now reading Jodi Picoult's "Vanishing Act" which I got from a charity shop for £1 I was lucky to find it and "The pact" (also good but sad)) there as they rarely seem to be given up.
Must go get dressed in a min and let puppy out of puppy crate (don't worry not as cruel as it sounds, there is plently of room in there and it is like her den, she has taken all her toys in there one by one!:D
Apologies if photos not allowed, just a one off but please feel free to move them if necessary.

Hi Amie! We have called her Penny! She is 12 weeks old tomorrow! Just had her last vaccination so should be able to take her out in 10 days time! She is only 2.6 kg at the moment but should get to about 10kg. She doesn't shed which is wonderful as I have so many allergies! She was bred for temperament and is great with small children but also enables someone like me (with allergies and CFS) to have a dog again, something i had almost given up on. Penny is a Cockapoo by the way!Our days are happier when we give people a bit of our heart rather than a piece of our mind.

Morning All
Catzine - she's so sweet. I remember the joys of potty training a pup. Hard to think my "puppy" will be ten in a month:eek:
Well I'm at work, wondering if getting up at four in the morning for the miserable money they pay me is really worth it. Had an email this morning letting me know that a speedway race that I'm meant to be working at has been cancelled, so there's some more cash gone. Oh well, still got one session there this season.
Went to Mr T yesterday, got some of the christmas booze with my vouchers. Total spend was £60, but with all the coupons I had, it went right down to £33:T Also got a free bag for life, which earned me a couple of green points as I used it there and then. Got another Christmas pressie - DVD for £3 :T
Got to pay a bill later and hoping to get some pin money in the savings account. (£920 to go in there:shhh: )
Hope everyone's okComping, Clicking & Saving for Change0 -
Morning to everyone, those who have posted and those yet to post.
First of all - TAPLADY - just read yesterday's post - well done on your terrific weightloss and for being slimmer of the week. Well done!
AMIE - sorry about your baby hedgehog but so glad you managed to catch the other one and that he is now being treated. Have a lovely day today - you sound as if you're looking forward to it!
CATZNINE - he is gorgeous! He looks a real character!
MRSMIX - I really feel for you with neighbours like that. You did the right thing taking pictures - at least it's proof and hopefully something will be done. They shouldn't get away with being so inconsiderate. Good luck.
(((hugs))) to SMOKY and everyone in need. Hope you got a good night's sleep, SMOKY.
Well, as usual when DH is away, I had a decent night's sleep and woke up just before 6 feeling fairly well-rested. Did anyone watch Supernanny last night? The little boy was so bad, even the 'naughty' step wasn't considered, but she still worked wonders. I felt so sorry for the lovely parents so I really hope the results are permanent. My DS2 was pretty awful as a child but not as bad as that. I only wish Supernanny was around in those days.
I am babysitting DGS and DGD tonight (they're little angels so no hassle there!) I am putting them to bed and they are so excited. I'm looking forward to it and shall probably have a rummage in my Christmas present stash to take something round for them each.
Well, apart from a little housework - I have a small hill of ironing which I do not intend turning into a mountain - I shall spend most of the day doing my AQA to try and boost my earnings and I shall also go to the gym mid-morning. My back survived my visit on Tuesday so I'm well 'up' for it now. Have a great morning everyone.
