Me too, but the problem with multipacks is that I scoff the lot :o

Nuts in shells are BOGOF at my Lidls at the moment.

A portion of nuts for the purposes of health benefits is a handful per day.
  • I also recommend Aldi's Peppermint and Liquorice teabags, very nice! Also their whole Espresso coffee beans, make lovely freshly-ground coffee at a reasonable price.
Thanks for this, I didn't know Aldi did a liquorice tea. I bought some liquorice teabags elsewhere last night, before visiting Aldi, wish I had of known. I'll try Aldis once my current ones have run out.
I really should take my time looking around supermarkets!
  • I haven't seen the Aldi British made quark mentioned yet, think it was 79p for 200g. Finally, UK farmers have mastered the knack of making quark. High in protein and low in fat, so good for anyone who follows a higher protein diet. It's lovely, prefer it to T*sco's. Which, ironically, was German-sourced the last time I bought it.
I had Aldis quark last night for pudding, delicious!

Quark is essentially the same as plain Fromage Frais (£ 1 for 500 g at T), a bit firmer in texture but I've always substituted the comparatively expensive quark quite successfully in my cheesecakes. I'll check Aldi's quark out though.

I bought some this morning, they are very palatable even though I'm no great liquorice fan, and more importantly providing me with some minor relief from a chest infection :o

I did have to hunt for them though, as they are mixed in with other fruit teas with similar packaging - including peppermint. For nearly £2 per pack of 15 it is worth making sure you select the right product.

We love the Aldi own brand lemonade (about 40 p a bottle) It's nicer than branded ones at 3-4 times the price.

I'd agree. Not the really cheap (17p) one - the Vive Premium at 42p.
Every bit as good as R Whites or Schweppes. :)
