    I can't understand why anyone uses anything else. All mine are not only free but make a profit and I get the bundles for nothing. That is real proof.
  • Then you should take his advice. A wrecked credit history for most people will have severe consequences for the next six years, whether it was your fault or not.

    How can this be correct...pay a bill that is clearly wrong just to please Vodafone....so they don't wreck your credit report....madness
  • i know! like i've said before, i feel like a victim of an extortion racket. we're effectively being blackmailed into paying whatever they say and it's not as if the refund process is easy. the last time it took 3 months to get refunded and then the next bill they sent me was wrong again!

    It's a bit like being politically "correct". You can do the "right" thing and go round in circles or you can do the practical thing to get it resolved.

    My wife and I took out new contracts on 8th April 2014 with the Vodafone Emergency Services Discount as my wife is a Police Officer. Her 20% discount was applied immediately, however my discount was only applied late 2015 following months of calls from me trying to resolve the issue. Yet we took our contracts out at the same time, in the same store, with the same sales advisor!

    I have since been chasing the credit that I am owed from the 20% discount that should have been applied to my bills since April 2014. Once again, I have been passed to multiple departments, sent text messages promising calls that never materialised and generally messed about.

    Today’s call amazed me further.. The nice lady at VF informed me that while she could see I was eligible for the discount, and was intitled to receive a credit dating back to April 2014, she could only backdate this for 6-months, and if I wanted the full amount I was owed I would have to contact VF Head Office. Seriously guys, are you having a laugh - this has been going on for 2-years..!

  • I completed the online WRT form as instructed on post #1 last Thursday evening 17/03/16 - I got the refreshed page saying my form had been sent to Vodafone and that they would email a confirmation within 48 hrs - I did not receive any confirmation email or a WRT code to post on this forum.

    However, they did try to call me back on Monday evening 21/03/16, but unfortunately I missed this call.

    I've just spend the past 50 mins on an online chat and have been promised another call back within 24/48 hrs from the "highest level" (however, we all know Vodafone and call backs are a rare thing!) - should I try another WRT form and see if I get a confirmation code this time or wait for this call back?

    Rare is the wrong word. Try again - nothing to lose. Just don't bother any other route than the WRT.

  • Just an update . Charles from the social media team ( same as lee) has restored my faith that there are some people who actually work in Vodafone who can do more than read a script. Thanks to him and his team we are now up and running otherwise I don't think it would ever have been resolved.
    When will companies realise that the multifunction Indian call centres are a short sighted way to try and cut overheads . Reputation of Vodafone is falling off a cliff from googling the many issues related to their customer service . My issues were mainly with the porting team who are wholly incompetent and dishonest at times butt seem to have no recourse.
    To others with similar problems I can only suggest you try to stick to the process on this forum as I see no other solution.

    I'm afraid Vodafone feel off the cliff a LONG time back. If they hit the ground and bounced they would have done so many times over by now (but they don't - they just keep falling).
