I have had , chocolate , crisps and a mince pie today ! Put. It down to being worried about DS. Fireworks are getting annoying now , especially the very loud ones .

Sorry that the compressed hours haven't worked for you , I love mine , it's hard work sometimes it makes my day very long if I go to the gym after work but have now got used to them.

Thanks Cumbria. It was worth trying. I think next year I need to take the cut and go down to 4 days like I originally said. If I'm mortgage and debt free it should be okay. :)

Today I taught my class and it went well. A few niggly bits but they are strong personalities so I need to set firm boundaries (again)

I returned the phone I bought 2 months ago to John Lewis. The picture kept cracking up and was not viewable. They wanted to send it off for repair and leave me with nothing in the meantime. I wanted a refund or an exchange. Cue a manager. I got a new phone but there was no good grace about it. I have noticed this before, recently. John Lewis don’t have the same customer service they once had. It is a shame. I usually make all my purchases there as a default. I’m going to review that. I notice Argos do not quibble, ever. Maybe I need to rethink where I make purchase. Times change.

I bought some half price port in MnS and various YS items that will make nice lunches

Today I did not spend on food. I took some scrambled eggs in a flask and made do with that. Hungry now. Off to make a meal :)

Might have a small glass of port later too :)

I hope your week started well reader

I will indeed vote with my feet. I did stand my ground but my heart was pounding as I find confrontation tough so especially pleased to have come away with a result :T

  • Well done you for standing your ground DIA. Certainly not acceptable to be repairing something that's only 2 months old - they should be apologising and sorting it out with the manufacturers.

I have finally got my exchange from Curry5 but it has taken a lot of nagging so I'm afraid I can't recommend them either. Interesting you say that Argo5 are good.

Oh and I am also a crisp monster which is why I try not to buy them :o - definite fail this week and already ate the sharing size bag I bought yesterday

Yes, JL is not what it was. Sorry to hear Curry5 is not much better. I discovered Argo5 had good customer service by accident and was pleasantly surprised. :)
Re crisps. Yes I think i will have to go cold turkey and just stop eating them as I am unable to do them in moderation :o
